Unless Sebastian Stan actually gets involved, the only way we can get Luke is if the show ends with flash forwards. Either that, or a whole lot of CGI

That was one hell of an episode. It was so good that I can't even think of a sarcastic quip. Empire Stormtroopers: Outnumber them 6 to 1, armed with a laser turret and a grenade launcher, and STILL CAN'T GET THE JOB DONE!!! That's true. I find it hilarious that a random boulder now has a higher kill count than most Stormtroopers.

Man, I so badly wanna see Moff Gideon get his.
Giancarlo Eposito’s villains have a quiet, dignified menace to them.

But they've been really good at hiding people's involvement, and if they actually announced Stan had been cast it would take all of two seconds to figure out who he was playing. Even the CGI de-ageing option isn't out of the realms of possibility - Disney have it down to an exact science at this point, and they're not scrimping on the budget. The first season had a budget of $12.5 million per episode, and they've damn sure upped that for season two. Man, I so badly wanna see Moff Gideon get his. Giancarlo Eposito’s villains have a quiet, dignified menace to them. According to Esposito {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Gideon will feature in season three, and has previously said he was told by Favreau himself we won't truly get to see what the character is capable of until the fourth season. I'm itching to see just how far they can go with him.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Also, call me crazy, but I'm starting to think we might see Luke show up.
Hear me out.
We know Grogu isn't around for the prequels, and neither are the Jedi; Ahsoka's voice being heard by Rey with Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, Qui-Gon, and Mace suggests that by the time of the sequels she's dead too. The easy assumption to make is Grogu has not survived by then, or is still too young - if he's a 50 year-old infant, he's probably no more than a toddler or young child at 75.
But I can't see them pulling a "Grogu goes off to train under Luke and is presumably killed by Ben Solo", but I also don't see them having Grogu go off and train under another Jedi while Mando moves on with his life. They've played heavily on how much Mando is not looking forward to saying goodbye, as well as Grogu being in control of his own destiny. Plus as compelling a character as Mando is, if you take Grogu out of it the show's over.
The show is literally a story about a man sworn to live a mostly solitary existence learning to accept and love his adopted son, so how about if Luke is the one who answers Grogu's call and rather than go train to be a Jedi, Grogu instead chooses to stay with his "father" and the reason he's not around in the sequels is because he's happily living in the Clan Mudhorn covert on Mandalore?
Besides all that, seeing people go nuts over Boba being back in his armour, can you imagine how much people would lose their minds if in the season finale things are looking bleak for our heroes and suddenly we get a rear shot of a hooded figure in black, who ignites a green lightsaber? Twitter would break. I think {Spoiler}you’re absolutely spot on and right. They teased the shit out of a possible Jedi (not named ahsoka) showing up in this episode and I think they’re going to come back to that and reward the audience. And that feels like f***ing Luke. Whether it’s winty soldier himself or some CGI thing similar to Leia in Rogue One. Also Grogu bring one of Kylos victims is so perfect because it wraps up that loose end. No way lil baby shit was around during The Force Awakens and not shown up. He’s too powerful.

Luke deserved so much better than f***head beta gave him in the Last Jedi {Spoiler}Yeah, it's an old BossLogic poster from 2017 when he was doing fancastings; he had Stan as Luke along with Ben Mendelsohn as Thrawn and Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka. He dusted them off last week as one of them was obviously very relevant.

Also, three words: Child-sized shackles Baby sized shackles more like. think they were created for Gogru of did those Imperials have them the whole time just on the off chance they were needed?

Awwww. It should be said, too, that camerawork was pretty damn spot on at times. The shot of Boba smashing the Stormtrooper with the staff...maaaaaaan. Star Wars rarely gets that brutal.

If Thrawn were emperor, the higher ups of the Empire would have been filled with the likes of Gideon, and not the likes of Motti and Krennic. Just a random observation I had watching him.

Twitter would break. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I think that's a pretty good bet. It would both make sense, and be really compelling at the same time. And, like you said, it would tie up loose ends.
It won't be Ahsoka because we already know her answer to possibly training Grogu. It won't be Ezra because I would imagine they're going to hold off on him until the Rebels sequel series.
On the other hand, we still don't know the final canon fates of Quinlan Vos and Cal Kestis. They MIGHT make sense in that they have a history with the criminal underworld of Star Wars but, I think it's clear Grogu will pick Din over anyone so, why not bring Luke in for a one off to create buzz, and make that choice more poignant?
I also think Grogu won't go with Luke because, let's face it, Grogu going off with Luke and being just another of Ben Solo's victims is too easy an ending. It's one of those situations where it would be "too predictable." Which isn't inherently a bad thing but, predictability without satisfaction leaves people empty.

Grogu choosing to stay with Mando over Luke works because it really solidifies that those two are together until the end, and you can have Luke drop some pearl of wisdom that completely validates his choice in a way the blessing from a character of a lesser legacy never could. Hell, tie it into Vader by saying something like "My father once chose to leave behind somebody he wasn't ready to, and the galaxy became a worse place as a result." (Which in itself also hints at the likelihood Luke has had post-Endor talks with Anakin.)
Plus it would give us a glimpse of the Luke we've only ever really known in the old EU.
I'm still expecting it not to be Luke, and I'm sure whatever they do will be deeply satisfying, but it's still a whole lot of fun to speculate.

{Spoiler}is Cal the guy from Fallen Order?
I really hope it’s not him because...dude was f***ing ugly in game and the actor his appearance is based off of is just as ugly. They may as well cast Sid from Toy Story.
Also dude was a loser compared to Luke.
1082738% it has to be Luke. The fans deserve it. Mark Hamill deserves it. Luke Skywalker deserves it.

Between Robert Rodriguez directing and DP Dave Klein shooting it, this was like "Chapter 14: The 1995 Independent Spirit Awards"
