Ok, two things -
1. Those weren't pirates. Pirates want to steal stuff. Those guys just wanted to blow stuff up. They're terrorists.
2. When Boba was dropping that bomb on the two TIE Fighters, was I the only one who lost sound for a second or two? Was that intentional? It wasn't like in The Last Jedi where it was obviously done for dramatic effect, this just felt awkward.

When Boba dropped that, I about gripped the sofa and then squeed like no other.

Man, Richard Brake nearly steals the whole episode and doesn't even get his name in the fancy credit sequences.

You know what, I'm a big enough man to admit when I was wrong. The Clone Wars cameos this season weren't just cameos for cameos' sake and to get the hero some rad new gear, they actually serve the story. If the theme this season is Mando facing challenges to his beliefs, then bringing in jaded ex-Jedi Ahsoka was probably the best character to work into that theme short of bringing in Hamil as TLJ Luke.

My only real criticism of this season is the re-use of the triumphant fanfare part of the main Mando theme. It's a wonderful piece of music, and I don't know if it's because the score was done remotely and they truncated production of it, but that cue kicks in during just about every third-act action sequence and feels really overused at this point.

I do agree it was one of the weaker episodes but it was still really enjoyable. And yeah, {Spoiler}that speech at the end...pretty Mando’s “Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back” in terms of “You are f***********ed” moments.

{Spoiler} Also, first episode of The Mandalorian without it a single Grogu appearance. Super surreal, actually.
Made it up by more handsome Pedro Pascal.

The scene in the mess hall is genuinely one of the best scenes in any Star Wars production. Pedro Pascal does so much heavy lifting without saying a word, Bill Burr's monologue tells us everything we need to know about Mayfeld, and Richard Brake's performance was as slimy as it was chilling. Can't believe next week's episode is the season finale already. It's gonna be a long wait for season three.

Yeah, that whole scene was really well done and the payoff was extremely cathartic even with the brief amount of time they had. To add to the John Wick comparison, think the thing that sets off the events of 3 in 2 in terms of “Wow, they actually went there” in terms of catharticism.

The mess hall scene was absolutely phenomenal. It's like the Star Wars version of the pub scene in Inglorious Basterds.

It’s a shame that it’s probably too late to add a “In Memory” credit for Jeremy Bulloch before the final episode of this season lands in just over eight and a half hours from time of tweet.
Since the character he portrayed physically in Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, was such a big part of this season.

I mean, they’ve found ways before and it could still happen so I’m not ruling it out. On a separate topic, our flat are going to try and watch it midday tomorrow and man, is that going to be the most tense few hours of my life hoping to dodge all the potential social media spoilers (I’ve been lucky so far but with the potential rumors for the finale, it’s going to be a total minefield).

Jeans guy was erased from that episode within 36 hours of it dropping, so it wouldn't be difficult at all for them to add an "In Memory" card in before tomorrow.

I have to work tomorrow so I won't be able to watch til about 3 in the afternoon.
As far as an in memory of card, they could probably have a separate video queued up like a commercial if they can't add one to the proper episode.
