My take on the Carano deal is a bit nuanced. Did I find the things she said offensive? Yes. Did I find them unforgivably offensive? Not really, though one should never, ever make any hyperbolic comparisons to the Nazis for ANYTHING.That can never end well. Why can't people learn that? Do I think she should have been fired? Actually, yes. Not for any one tweet, mind you. None of her tweet touched any of the real unforgivable third rails that requires insta-bans. What earned her termination was having her bosses repeatedly ask her to modify her public behavior over an extended period of time and she refused to comply with their requests. Hell, technically speaking they didn't even fire her. They let her finish her current contracted work and then opted not to contract her for any further work because of her continued behavior. Therefore they did her a massive solid despite the fact that she was repeatedly spitting in their face despite them asking her to kindly not do that. This,

Enough about Carano and politics, more about how awesome this was: It’s been two months and I still get goosebumps

I've actually seen people saying Disney are hypocrites for firing an outspoken woman even though they promote feminism. People are really stupid is all I'm saying.

I took awhile to get around to watching the second season.
I really liked the whole second season except for the Ashoka episode. There was just something off with it, it just looked so static and uninspired in how it was shot and filmed... And Rosario Dawson looked weird as her - and her performance was just.... Bad. I don't know if her or the direction - I'm leaning towards direction since the whole episode was lack luster. But it was quite disappointing considering the character is so cool and it felt like an episode meant to plant the seeds for a whole bunch of possible other adventures in other shows... And then it just stunk. Haha.
Compare it to how slick the Robert Rodriguez episode looked, particularly the parts on Moff Gideon's ship and what not... So much more dynamic and interesting looking. I really liked that episode, the one with the fuel run to the dam complex thing, and the final one. Those were all top TV content! I wish there had been more of Carl Weathers though, since he is one of my favorite characters on the show - though I really liked that tatoonie sheriff guy they introduced and hope he isn't just a one of and their sort of promise to meet up again happens.

On a semi-related note, Hasbro have also joined the party and announced there will be no new releases of any 3.75 inch or 6 inch scale figures of Cara Dune going forward, and they've cancelled pre-orders for one that was said to be on the way.

I don’t think the character was important enough to get any more than the one she already had.

I really do miss the action figures of 10-15 years ago when the quality was good and the selection was insane.

Serious answer, it would have been easier to say that people who believe in one thing should not hurt other people who don't. Or use their beliefs to hurt people and things. (and I still say ALL sides are guilty of this from time to time, and it's been painfully obvious. which is why I DON'T TAKE SIDES.) That is all. These types when they try to "think" deeper just get into more trouble.

See, I’m at the opposite end of the spectrum, where I enjoyed the Ashoka episode. What you saw as “static” and “uninspiring” I saw as placid, serene and taking of its time. Very “Jedi-like”. Obvious shift in pacing..but I think that’s why I enjoyed it. Everything slowed down. With Dawson’s performance, I thought it was fine. Then again, I didn’t watch a lot of clone wars and the Ashoka source material, so I’d trust you or more hardcore fans’ perception of the character. And while I f***ing love Rodriguez (Once Upon a Time in Mexico is literally one of my biggest sentimental favorite movies ever), i found it veered into Style > Substance at times. Not by a lot! Tame, actually, compared to Robert-O’s usual M.O but very stylistic. Enjoyable and appropriate for the Boba character, all things considered. And 100% agreed about Carl Weathers. Man is a gift. I really enjoyed his direction in the one episode he got to direct. Dude-in-jeans and all.

In a rare moment of me being on the same page as everyone else I’ll agree that the lack of Carl Weathers’ character was one of the only downers of the season. But I guess Boba Fett kinda fit the role that he played.
Moff Gideon never felt like a “big bad” to me either.
But in the end none of that mattered. Luke Skywalker Beast Mode FTW!!!!

I really enjoyed his direction in the one episode he got to direct. Dude-in-jeans and all. Oh, I can see that perspective. On the one hand Ashoka's character was always kinda hot headed and un-jedi like. But a lot has happened since we last saw her, it would be interesting to know what happened. She's a lot more serene in this than I would have thought. The episode brought up a lot of questions which is good for an ongoing universe, I have a lot of stuff I want to know!
The parts with her a grooki (sp) were fine, it was just the parts in the town which were... Meh. Like the dust covered world to obviously hide the small sets and budget (Which is odd, because I thought the Ashoka episode would be one of the episodes they would have blown extra budget on considering how popular her character is across various generations of Star Wars fans!). Her battle with Mando was also good, but all the other battle sequences her fighting style looked weird and janky/slow. That might be a case of something that worked and looked great in animated form not translating to having a real person attempt them.
I can also see the critique of the RR episode because it was probably one of the lightest on character development that I can recall. Oddly enough, that episode the stormtroopers, despite getting killed left and right, still felt more threatening than they had most of the season. I know the movies don't exactly treat them as more than cannon fodder, but if I have one major complaint about the second season of Mando it would be the amount of comic ease they dispatch almost all of their enemies (cept for the last episode). It's getting a bit... extreme? I suppose that gives even more props to the imperial base/trucking episode because that is probably the most danger I have felt for our heroes against the Imperial forces in awhile.
I'm really wondering what elements they introduced will be advanced in what shows/projects they have in development.

No you idiot. It's a stupid premise you're trying to manufacture outrage dollars from.

Even ignoring some of the other connotations, "not renewing someone's contract and letting it expire to not get them involved in future roles" is a strange thing to spin into "show in trouble".
