Super Commandos is my guess and that cameo may tie into Ahsoka Super Commandos, The other Nite Owls, Clan Saxon, Protectorates of Concord Dawn, or another faction we haven't seen yet. The other possibility is that it's a frame job. Even though they were decimated by the Empire, the Mandalorians still aren't seen very favorably by the Galaxy so, having the New Republic turn on their remnant benefits The imperial holdouts a ton. Definitely a frame job. This is Thrawn, he's framing the Mandalorians so the New Republic goes after them, tying up resources for the New Republic and getting the Mandalorians in a war. He does damage to 2 enemies with this.

This is the sort of stuff that made me like The Mandalorian. Badasses doing badass things and shooting bad guys, just a lot of fun. Also, {Spoiler}Tim Meadows is Star Wars canon! Hooray! And that ending, though...hoooooo boy. Shit's going down near the end of the season.

Only disappointment was that Hondo wasn't with The Pirates. A few months ago I'd ask if Hondo was even still alive at that point, but I recently rode Rise of the Resistance and he was featured briefly in that. It is supposed to be canon, or at least the overall story is. That means Hondo working for the Resistance means he is alive at that point.

There were several things I loved about that episode and one thing I didn't. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Zeb looked great! I wasn't sure they could pull off a live-action Lasat that well but they did.
It was good to see the Armorer realize that reuniting Mandalorians is more important than their very restrictive code. You can be a small cult when your planet is thriving, but it doesn't work so well when your people are divided and in trouble.
I'm interested in who broke out Gideon. There are plenty of "bad" Mandalorian factions that could have done it, but Mandalorians being framed is also very likely.
Imperials sticking together and reforming has to eventually lead into the creation of the First Order and I wonder if the show will take it that far.
Needed more Grogu though.

Alright, that was a pretty boss episode. Looks like things are happening. Let's watch the last two episodes of the season for The Bad Batch.
*Watches the two episodes.*

I do love how the biggest villain in all of Star Wars isn't the First order or the Empire or pirates but rather paperwork

My wife was laughing about how paperwork and rules are the most dangerous things plaguing the Star Wars universe yet the Death Star didn't have safety rails

Lots of walkways without railings and lots of people wearing helmets with restrictive lines of sight. What could possibly go wrong?

The Empire saw everything as expendable. First thing Palpatine did after seizing power as Emperor was dismantle the Republic equivalent of OSHA.
First Order saw its resources as a lot less expendable, which is why the TIE Fighters had shields and Starkiller Base had guardrails.

I'll never forgive them for not putting rails on the Death Star in Rouge One complete with a guy leaning on them as an explanation as to why they aren't there in A New Hope.

{Spoiler}Sasha is in season 3! She bet on herself and has come out ahead.
Wonder if we're gonna get a Jack Black black figure.
Chasing down droids, fighting with them, Bo was more cautious and a leader while Din was impulsive. It was like what Obi-Wan and Anakin would do in happier times.

This episode was like a Mass Effect side mission. Or Borderlands. I was expecting Claptrap to appear in The Droid Bar.
