Poor boy's right back to where he was in TNA at the beginning of the decade. He's making way more money, though. Joe should just go through the motions for the rest of his contract. Save up. And have a nice retirement.

I'm not sure what they do with him after this. A feud with Rusev would be rad, but he's wrapped up in a storyline with Aiden at the moment. That storyline is already finished. Rusev beat Aiden English on Smackdown a few weeks ago and that was it for their feud.

He got eliminated in the first few seconds of the match via McIntyre Claymoring his face off. Big "BULLSHIT" chant from crowd. WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW See. That's the shit I'm talking about. Nobody can take dude seriously. After McIntyre had got out of the Coqina Clutch twice.

Judging from The New Day's promo on the Kickoff show, the crowd was very pro-SDLive throughout the entire show. I could imagine WWE just wanted to screw with fans and have Smackdown lose every match as a furtive FU to fans who get people over (Becky Lynch) that creative doesn't want them to get over.
L.A. cheered for Joe about as much as they did for Rey Mysterio in that SS match (so basically the most over two in the match during ring entrances). Joe stays over with crowds despite being jobbed into oblivion which is why dudes like him and Rusev, and Tye, and Tyler, and Curt, or ladies like Mickie, and Lana and etc. who job spectacularly to the stars (but stay over) are great at their roles. grabbing the brass ring isn't the only way to stay working with WWE for decades (just look at Primo Colon)
Joe's run will come even if it's as US champ on a dominant streak like Rusev had with the strap. Getting to get all his wins back as WWE WHC (even maybe against Lesnar next year at Survivor Series?) would be sweet. And if Jinder or Bray Wyatt get to have a WWE WHC run who's to say that Samoa Joe won't eventually get one after a few more OHHHH WENDYYYY promos

I get that they wanted to make Drew look like a badass. But it made Joe look like nothing. And that’s a big problem, how someone can only seemingly get credibility by taking all of someone else’s. Why is credibility so hard to get and so hard to keep, but so easy to lose?

Why is credibility so hard to get and so hard to keep, but so easy to lose? Because there is so little cred on the main roster, it's all concentrated in part timers. The only full timer that has beaten Beastie Boy is Roman Reigns, and he needed a distraction from Braun to do that.

I honestly thought Joe was going to have a good showing here. He came out all fired up. Ready to take on the whole Raw team by himself. Threw his towel at Braun to provoke something. I was thinking this was going to amazing.
2 minutes later......
f*** you WWE. Seriously.

Because there is so little cred on the main roster, it's all concentrated in part timers. The only full timer that has beaten Beastie Boy is Roman Reigns, and he needed a distraction from Braun to do that. And by part-timers, it's really just Lesnar, and maybe Cena and Undertaker. Triple H pretty much only beats other part-timers nowadays. OK, then by that logic, if nobody on the roster has credibility, then how do talents GET credibility if it's not by beating those existing talents? For example, Becky Lynch. She got on her recent roll before the turn by beating the lower part of the SmackDown's women's roster, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, The IIconics, etc. Those talents didn't exactly have credibility to give, but Lynch still seemed to get it somehow. So... How? Or do they start maxed out and it just decays over time depending on results? Sorry about getting all science-y on you, I'm just racking my brain trying to figure out how to solve all these problems we seem to have and they only ever seem to bring up MORE PROBLEMS. Like, the only thing I can think of to do that gets more guaranteed wins and thus more credibility for your main roster talents, is to make the weekly TV more centered around roster talent vs local jobbers, and even then, that just leads to even further non-use of roster talents (by up to half per week) and an exponential increase in the predictability and non-importance of the weekly TV. And the moment that someone goes "That person's not credible because he only beats local jobbers", that process is rendered moot too.

I simply do not understand the logic behind constantly treating him this way. When the entire premise of your show is to get someone over, why constantly screw someone who the fans are behind and make noise for? It literally makes zero common sense business wise and the only thing i can think of is vince or someone in his ear is doing this out of spite for some reason. When you sit back and think how over some talent could be if the wwe would simply follow basic logic like listening to your audience...it's really shocking how badly the misuse the talent and resources they have. Vince and the company are so lucky they are as successful as they are because they constantly screw themselves all the time with stupid stuff like how they treat him.

And the moment that someone goes "That person's not credible because he only beats local jobbers", that process is rendered moot too. The best way is to push one talent that hasn't been booked into oblivion really hard, have them booked strong but not OP, and then build up another star by having a fresh guy from NXT feud with that talent. Play your cards right, and you now have two stars. You then have those stars feud with another two stars, now you have 4 stars and so on. Basically, concentrate the heat into one star, then use that star to make another star, and then so on.
Basically, you bring up new talents from NXT who the audience haven't been told don't matter, then you treat them like stars and use them to build new stars.
A tier system would also help too. Basically, you have your full time main eventers on one tier, the part timers on the tier below with the upper carders, the midcarders below them, and the low carders below them.
