NWA Wrestling [69%] Episode #15 11/09/11 TAPED in Charlotte, North Carolina Announcers: Steve Prazak & Peter LaSalle - The show starts out with Bob Backlund issuing an official apology for his outburst last week. Backlund says that he lost his temper but it’s no excuse for someone in his position to act so “unbecoming” of a Commissioner. The live crowd seems to accept the apology (in fact, I don’t think anybody was really mad) as Backlund moves on to other business. On November 20th, the NWA will host their fourth iPPV, Scars and Stars, LIVE from Baltimore, Maryland. A world title bout between Jimmy Rave and Kevin Steen has already been scheduled but there will be a “second main event” on this show. The BLKOUT will defend their tag team titles against “arguably the greatest tag team of all time”, The Hardy Boys! The crowd eats up that announcement as they still love dem Hardy boys. A big time tag title match has been scheduled for November 20th. I wonder what else is going down in Baltimore? [78%] 1. Zach Sabre Jr. has been absent from TV for a a few weeks but he makes his return tonight against Kaos. Having cut a rather brutal promo on Robert Anthony last week, Kaos carries that energy over to this week as he controls most of the bout. A Jumping Complete Shot earns Kaos the decisive victory as he picks up a rare win on TV. Enjoyable opener. [**¾]- Backstage, Keith Hanson cuts a promo asking for a rematch with Danny Havoc next week. Hanson says he’s itching to continue that fight after neither man had their hand raised at the end. TAFKA Festus even challenges Havoc to make next week’s match a “North Cackalacky” Street Fight. [74%] 2. Building off last week’s incident where Ryan Eagles blew a fireball in Shawn Daivari's face, Eagles takes on Daivari’s partner, Ray Gordy. Bad match, not even gonna bullshit y’all. Gordy is another one of those cats that shows up in the ring when he feels like it. I guess he wasn’t feeling it tonight because he looked dreadful in this one. It goes about three minutes too long before Eagles hits a Headlock Driver for the win. [*¼]- Rocky Romero (still sporting a bandage on his head from his submission war with Jimmy Rave) is getting a massage in the locker room when he’s approached by Armando Alejandro Estrada. Alejandro notes that Romero’s career has hit a snag after the loss to Rave. That’s why he’s offering "Azúcar" his managerial services, promising to get Romero all the best sponsorship deals, a bigger contract, and title matches. Romero doesn’t seem to be very interested until Armando mentions title shots. Looking up at his fellow Cuban for the first time, Romero questions the manager on his ability to get him a title shot. Specifically, a TV title shot. Alejandro reassures his potential client that he can get him a title shot on November 20th. Thinking the proposition over, Romero shakes Armando’s hand and agrees to join his “agency.” [65%] 3. Richie Steamboat & Primo Colon fell short of winning the tag titles but they take the first step towards getting another shot by defeating The SoCal Stretching Crew in a competitive match. Not much to say here. It was a very meat and potatoes match that ends with a Crossbody from Steamboat. [**¼]- Jimmy Rave cuts a pre-taped promo where he says that winning a world championship has evaded him during his 12 year career. That ends on November 20th. Steen may have laid him out last week but if there’s anything that that folks should have learned by now, it’s that Jimmy Rave will get back up every time you knock him down. Rave says that he met Steen when he was just starting his career. He went from a humble young boy to a violent, cowardly excuse of a champion. The journeyman doesn’t care if he has to pin the champion or make him tap out. Either way, he’ll get the job done. [72%] 4. The night of mediocre wrestling continues as Teddy Hart puts away TJP with a Canadian Destroyer after 14 minutes of action. After the match, Teddy grabs a mic and accepts Ki’s challenge for a match in Baltimore. The Hart prodigy poses with Brian the Cat as we head to a commercial. [*1/4]- We go to a seedy bar somewhere as Eddie Kingston is chilling. There seems to be no else but him in the building but that quickly changes as Drake Younger walks in. The two dap each other up as Younger reveals that Kingston asked him to come to this location so they can talk about their recent issues. Both men down a shot as a sign of solidarity before Kingston talks about how long him and Drake have been friends. He knows that Drake doesn’t care for the way he’s been acting since joining the NWA and Kingston wanted to apologize. “I’m sorry, my dude. I’m sorry...I wasted so much time with a clown like you.” SMASH! Kingston just broke a beer bottle over Younger’s head. The Naptown Dragon is bleeding out of his head as he slumps to the ground before being brought back to his feet. Kingston spits in his (former) friend’s face before hitting Backfist to the Future. Finishing his drink, Kingston exists the bar, leaving Younger a bloody mess in a pile of glass and alcohol. [69%]5. Some fans in the audience clearly knew who Chuck Taylor was as he came out to challenge Hurricane Helms for his TV title. For those that didn’t know who Taylor was, he certainly makes a good first impression by having a good TV main event match. Taylor almost pulls off the upset with Sole Food but Helms manages to rally, eventually connecting with a Shining Wizard that puts out Taylor’s lights. [***]- The show closes out with The BLKOUT confronting Austin Aries in the ring regarding their invite to join the group. Long story short, Aries goes “nah, I’m straight”, saying that he’s not particularly interested in being part of a group. “My thing has always been standing out from the crowd. So, thanks but no thanks.” Of course, The BLKOUT don’t take the rejection kindly and go after A-Double. Aries fires off some good shots but the numbers game is too much. The show closes out with A-Double laid out, leaving the announcers to seriously question if anybody can stop The BLKOUT. [73%]

NWA NEWS AND NOTES 11/13/11 Bones Removed from High Profile Feud; Second TV Show? - Fans that have been watching NWA’s TV may have noticed how the feud between Bad Bones and Jeff Hardy has been abandoned as Bones is serving out a 30-day (kayfabe) suspension while Jeff tries to collect some gold with his brother. We here at WorldStarWrestling have gotten an exclusive scoop that this feud was actually supposed to go until December (with Bones maybe winning at the end) but NWA higher-ups were so upset with the lackluster match they had in Chicago that they pulled the plug on the entire feud. The word is that there are plans for a different feud for Bones when he returns to TV but this is only due to pushing from James Mitchell. Mitchell, a respected vet backstage, has taken a liking to Bones and has taken him on as his own personal pet project. Even with a supporter as vocal as Mitchell, Bones is on thin ice going forward.
- Another wrestler that has garnered some heat backstage is Teddy Hart (surprise). In additional to general complaints about his bizarre behavior, his latest transgression involved missing a public appearance scheduled for him by the company to promote the upcoming iPPV in Baltimore. A lot of people are upset with Magic for not handing out a substantial punishment but Hart is talented and the NWA owner has gone on record to say, “superstars get superstar treatment, point blank.” What a dick.
- Apparently, the decision to have The Hardys challenge for the tag titles on such short notice was influenced by a lack of faith in Jimmy Rave to headline a major show. Rave is well-liked by many but he’s an unproven draw and hasn’t been in a top position on the card for some years now. Robert Anthony was also an unproven draw before last month but he benefited from the additional drama of the title match being in his backyard. Instead of removing Rave from the match, the NWA decided to rely on the Hardy Boys crutch.
- NWA owner Magic has been shopping around the NWA product to various TV executives, trying to secure a second weekly TV show for the company. In most cases, the executive just ignores Magic’s outreach attempts. In one case, it even even resulted in a restraining order. Still, the NWA owner is confident that they can find an interested network considering that the wrestling business is heading towards a boom period according to many industry experts.

Don't the dirtsheet smarks realize that having to face Low Ki at the next PPV is punishment enough for the next year? RIP Teddy Hart...

NWA Wrestling [70%] Episode #16 11/16/11 TAPED in Charlotte, North Carolina Announcers: Steve Prazak & Peter LaSalle - With only four days left until their world title match in Baltimore, champion Kevin Steen and challenger Jimmy Rave make the match official with a contract signing. The bulk of the segment is uneventful. Both men sign the contract and talk their shit when NWA Commissioner Bob Backlund, presiding over the signing, cuts off both guys. He smacks his head and claims to be so forgetful nowadays. “The exception, of course, is US Presidents!” Anyway, Backlund forgot to inform either man that this match is going to have a special referee to ensure that Steen isn’t able to get himself out of this one with an intentional DQ. This man will challenge for the NWA World’s Heavyweight title at next month’s Starrcade event. Tyler Black!!! Neither competitor looks particularly happy as they both stare down their potential challenger. Black says he’s gonna call the match right down the middle but warns the winner that they won’t be holding onto the title for much longer as he’s coming for the belt at Starracde. [73%] 1. For the second week in a row, Kaos wins the opening TV match. This week, he defeats the unlucky ninja, RV1. The crowd is pretty quiet for this one but the action is pretty damn good. Much like last week, a Jumping Complete Shot earns Kaos the win. [***¼]- We’re trying something out this week as Peter LaSalle is standing in the NWA HYPE STATION~! He spends the next few minutes running down the card for Scars and Stars, announcing a number of new matches. First, Robert Anthony makes his in-ring return to the NWA as he takes on Kaos, who’s been talking mad reckless about Ego recently. Second, Jay Lethal will face Austin Aries after last week’s ending. Third, it turns out Armando Alejandro Estrada is a man of his word as Rocky Romero will challenge Hurricane Helms for the TV title on the 20th. We’re also getting a debut on the 20th as wrestling legend Jerry Lynn will take on international superstar KENTA. Finally, the already scheduled match between Teddy Hart and Low-KI now has a stipulation. In order to ensure that nobody else tries to collect on that damn bounty, the match will take place within the confines of a 15 foot high Steel Cage! There will be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide for Teddy Hart. [53%] 2. Several weeks ago, The Party defeated The Super Smash Brothers in a minor upset. We get a rematch this week as the video game duo would love to avenge their previous loss. Me and Sophie went on a wine run during this one so I have no idea what actually happened during it. We did come back just in time to see The Switchblade Conspiracy run down and break up the match before they could do a real finish. All six men brawl as the show hurriedly cuts to commercial. [ ] - Right after we come back from commercial, we get a quick promo from The Switchblade Conspiracy. They talk about how they’re here to dominate the tag division and become champions and yadda yadda yadda, you’ve all heard it before. They are the hot new heel team on the scene and they let the world know. [74%]3. With no worries about getting counted out, Danny Havoc makes good use of his ultraviolet background in a North Carolina Street Fight. His opponent, Keith Hansen, also has no qualms about using weapons which makes for a fun (albeit sloppy) match. Every wacky weapon under the sun was used here. A PS3, a broom stick, a frying pan, kendo sticks, you name it, they used it. A blow up doll even came into play as Havoc yanks it out from under the ring. It doesn’t last long as Havoc quickly gets body slammed onto the poor, defenseless doll! Shortly afterwards, Hansen connects with a stiff Lariat for the three count. [**]- Ahead of tonight’s six-man tag main event, Austin Aries met with his unlikely tag partners, The Hardy Boys. Once rivals, these men are now allies due to their common enemy, The BLKOUT. Getting straight to the point, Aries acknowledges their past but says that they don’t need to suddenly become best friends. All they need to do is work together for one night to kick the crap out of The BLKOUT. Surprised at Aries’ sensible tone, The Hardys agree to temporarily bury the hatchet so they can focus on tonight’s main event. [78%]- In an undisclosed location, Eddie Kingston explains why he laid out his former friend, Drake Younger, last week. Kingston says that he doesn’t know what kinda grass Younger’s been smoking out in Cali but he’s not the same ultraviolent warrior that went to battle with Kingston so many times. “Nah, you’ve gone soft, Drake.” Kingston calls himself the Last of a Dying Breed, as evidenced by Younger “turning into a pu[*BLEEP*].” Since Eddie can’t “ruin his reputation” by associating with someone like Drake, he had to cut ties. Kingston warns Younger not to come back to the NWA, letting him off with a “free pass” due to their previous friendship. If he comes back, however, The War King is gonna do something a lot worse than breaking a bottle over Younger’s head. Very strong promo from Kingston. He’s one of the best promo guys we’ve got and it showed here. [75%] 4. Still riding high off the news of his #1 contender status for the TV title, Rocky Romero swaggers his way to a victory over Trenton Locks. Once again, Trenton is underwhelming here as he just doesn’t seem to be moving with the same fire he had in WWE. Apparently, he’s kinda upset about the way he’s been booked but tough titty. Put in mediocre performances, get jobbed out. [**1/4]- Ryan Eagles cuts a meandering promo backstage that basically indicates that he wants more competition so the world can watch them “go up in flames.” Not much else to say here. [65%]5. The tired crowd was hot for this week’s main event as The BLKOUT try to gain some momentum over their rivals, Austin Aries & The Hardy Boys. They were given a lot of time here as this goes past two commercial breaks and has two seperate hot tags. The second one to Aries results in Blk Jeez being drilled with a Brainbuster. Aries could go for the pin himself but he tags out to Jeff Hardy. Swanton Bomb! Jeff has pinned one-half of the tag champions. This has to give the Hardys some serious momentum going into Baltimore. [**½]

NWA Wrestling Presents…
SCARS AND STARS [76%] November 20th, 2011 LIVE from Baltimore, Maryland Attendance: 2,400 Announcers: Steve Prazak & Peter LaSalle
Match #1 Elimination Four-Way Tag Match Winners Receive Future Tag Team Title Match Richie Steamboat & Primo Colon vs. The Party (Shawn Daivari & Ray Gordy) vs. The Super Smash Brothers (Player Uno & Player Dos) vs. The Switchblade Conspiracy (Sami Calihan & Jon Moxley)
The crowds for these iPPVs just keep growing! This month’s big show starts out with a chaotic four-way tag match. Lots of quick tags in this one as nobody wants to be in the ring for too long and risk exposing themselves. As a result, each man gets a little bit of shine before Jon Moxley muscles up Gordy for an Air Raid Crash! That sends The Party to the bleachers but as soon as Moxley gets up, he turns around into a Crossbody from Steamboat. One, two, three! Just like that, we’re down to just two teams. There’s an obvious mutual respect between both teams but only one can challenge for the tag titles on the next episode of NWA TV. A Double Knee Facebuster/Backstabber combo gets a close two count for Colon & Steamboat but Richie tries to go to the well one too many times. He attempts to climb the top rope for another Crossbody but gets knocked off Player Dos. In the ring, Primo eats a Stunner from Player Uno, setting him up for a Fatality! SSB have earned a tag title match against either The BLKOUT or The Hardys this upcoming Wednesday. [**]
Match #2 Singles Match Robert “Ego” Anthony vs. “Rockstar” Kaos
Making his first in-ring appearance since failing to win the NWA World’s Championship, Robert Anthony looks to be in great shape as he walks out from behind the curtain. His opponent, Kaos, is looking to prove a point that he should be receiving all the opportunities that Ego has received. Kaos jumps Ego before the bell, allowing to him to gain an early advantage. After a few minutes of offense, Kaos heads to the top rope for a Moonsault. The Rockstar clearly isn’t expecting Ego to pop back up, run up the turnbuckle, and hook him for a Release German Suplex off the top rope! After that, this match is all Ego, running through his moveset before finishing Kaos with a TKO. Anthony makes sures to slap hands with plenty of fans as the announcers remark that the young superstar is back and seemingly better than ever. [**¼] Match #3 Special Challenge Match “The Living Legend” Jerry Lynn vs. KENTA (w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada)
Jerry Lynn has wrestled in virtually every major American company and he’s now coming back to the NWA. KENTA is still on loan from Pro Wrestling Noah and he would love to add another notch to his belt with a win over a legend like Lynn. At the ripe old age of 48, Lynn moves as well as he ever did, still doing all of his signature spots. KENTA, of course, is one of the best wrestlers in the world today which results in a fast-paced, high impact encounter. KENTA lays into his opponent with kicks and chops, causing Lynn’s chest to bleed a bit. KENTA whips Lynn into the ropes and bends over, clearly anticipating a Back Body Drop. An uncharacteristic mistake from the NOAH star as Lynn wastes no time in hooking KENTA up for the Cradle Piledriver. He got all of that one! The former world champion wins his return match. After the match, KENTA begrudgingly bows to his opponent as a sign of respect but Armando still doesn’t seem happy on the outside. [***¼] Match #4 NWA Television Championship “Azúcar” Rocky Romero (w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada) vs. Hurricane Helms ©
Yes, Armando walked to the back with KENTA only to run right back out to second Rocky Romero for his title match. He’s not a player, he just manages a lot. Anyway, Hurricane Helms has been champion since September but he’s got a tough challenge ahead of him. This match ends up being AWESOME. Like, holy shit. Easily the best match we’ve had since I’ve been in control. Helms is getting up there in age but much like Lynn in the last match, he shows that he has plenty in the tank. For nearly 20 minutes, both men go back and forth before Romero rocks Helms with a kick to the side of the head. Tiger Suplex! Helms manages to get back to his feet but walks right into Romero’s arms. Tombstone Piledriver! The ref makes the count and we have a new champion! “Azúcar” celebrates like only he can, raising the title high in the air as he embraces Armando Estrada. If nothing else, nobody can say that he didn’t earn this title. [****¼] Match #5 Singles Match “Outlaw” Keith Hansen vs. “The War King” Eddie Kingston
We need a cool down match after a stellar TV title bout and that slot ends up going to these two. Hansen gets a solid reaction but Kingston gets a ton of heat whenever he interacts with the crowd. Nice to see that program with Younger has caught on. As you’d might expect, there’s lots of punches thrown in this one before Kingston muscles up Hansen for a Backdrop Driver. He looks to be going for the Yakuza Kick but he stops dead in his tracks when he spots Drake Younger in the crowd! Kingston pauses just long enough for Hansen to catch him with a Lariat! The Outlaw picks up the win but the bigger news is that Drake Younger is back and wants Kingston’s ass. Pause. [**½]
Match #6 NWA World Tag Team Championship The Hardy Boys vs. The BLKOUT © (w/ Jay Lethal)
In what is being billed as the first half of a “double main event”, Blk Jeez & Ruckus make their first defense of the tag team titles against arguably the greatest team in modern history, The Hardy Boys. Knowing that this is a huge opportunity, Jeez & Ruckus have their working boots on as they bump all over the place for The Hardys early on. Lethal tries to interject by grabbing Jeff’s foot from the outside but he’s quickly ejected from ringside and made a non-factor. Finally, Ruckus manages to turn the tide by yanking on Matt’s hair and sending him crashing to the mat. Like an experienced unit, The BLKOUT isolate Matt from his brother, going as far as to knock Jeff off the apron at one point to prevent their target from tagging out. Of course, those efforts end up being futile as Jeff gets tagged in and brings the fight to both men, laying out both guys with a well-timed Whisper in the Wind.
As all three men raise from the pile, Ruckus rocks Jeff with an Enziguri. The Rainbow Haired Warrior stumbles into a Death Sentence! One, two, Jeff kicks out! A fired up Matt comes in illegally to plant Jeez with a Side Effect but gets pushed back to his corner by the ref. Upon request from his brother, Jeff gladly tags out to Matt as he needs a breather. Matt throws up the V1 and grabs Jeez. Twist of Fa-Jeez rolls up Matt! He’s got the tights! The ref doesn’t see it and makes the three count! The BLKOUT have stolen this one and somehow manage to walk out of Baltimore with the titles. [**]
Match #7 Steel Cage Match If Low-Ki Wins, He Receives the $100,000 Bounty “The World Warrior” Low-Ki vs. “The Hart of the NWA” Teddy Hart
Next up is a match that’s been building since Teddy Hart defeated Ki via count-out at Coronation in August. Ever since then, they’ve been at each other’s throat, escalating to the point where Hart offered 100 G’s to anyone that could take Ki out. TAFKA Kaval has a chance to not only get his hands on Hart but secure a nice payday while doing it. The rules for this match specify that you can only win via pinfall or submission. None of that “escape the cage” shit.
The majority of this bout revolves around Ki beating the hell out of his opponent, drawing blood from Hart after throwing him face first into the cage. All hope seems lost when the Hart prodigy pulls something out from his tights. When Ki approaches him, he tosses some kind of white powder into The World Warrior’s eyes! Immediately, the blinded Ki goes down in a heap, leaving him easy pickings for the crafty Hart. It’s only pure instinct that allows the former ROH champion to kick out of a Pumphandle Driver but the Burning Hammer that follows leaves him in a bad way. Amazingly, Hart doesn’t go for the pin as he wants to finish Ki off in a more flashy way. Living up to his spot-monkey reputation, Hart climbs all the way to the top of the cage. Open Hart Surgery! Ki moves out of the way! Teddy crashes and burns like only he can as the fans in Baltimore scream, “holy shit!” By the time Hart manages to crawl back to his feet using the cage for assistance, he ends up kissing the steel thanks to a Running Dropkick from Ki. The World Warrior tosses Hart into the cage a few more times for good measure before planting him with a Ki Krusher. Another one! Warrior’s Way from the top rope! Ki hooks the leg for the easiest three count of his life and becomes $100,000 richer in doing so. [**] Match #8
Grudge Match “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” Austin Aries vs. “The Cornerstone” Jay Lethal
The penultimate match of the night was set up by Lethal offering Aries a spot in The BLKOUT. Aries, being the lone wolf he is, said “nah” which earned him a beating from the group. Despite the heated circumstances leading to this one, Lethal offers Aries a lock-up to start the match. Chain wrestling ensues as Aries gains the upper hand, forcing Lethal to the mat and slapping the hell out of the back of his head. Mad disrespect from A-Double but the crowd eats up it now that he’s technically a babyface. “You Got Bitch Slapped!” chants taunt Lethal as he fumes in the corner. He seemingly offers another lock-up before catching Aries with a suckerpunch.
Lethal lights up his opponent’s chest with some knife edge chops but Aries quickly returns fire. That winds up being the story of this match. Anything Lethal does, Aries wants to show he can do it better. Lethal hits a Suplex? Aries hits a Suplex. Lethal does a Suicide Dive? Aries comes back with one of his own. Even a simple arm drag earns a rebuttal from A-Double. Of course, he adds some of his flair to it by flexing for the hoes afterwards. The former Black Machismo gains some ground with a Diving Elbow Drop off the top rope but gets dropkicked in the back when he attempts to cartwheel off the ropes for a Killshot. Both men are selling on the mat when Ruckus & Blk Jeez come down the ramp. The tag champs hop on the apron, catching the attention of the ref. On the other side of the ring, an unknown man slips out from under the ring and attacks Aries. Unprettier! That ain’t Christian but he just laid out A-Double. The unknown man goes back under the ring as Lethal crawls on top of Aries. Oh so conveniently, BLKOUT stop distracting the ref and allow him to count the pin. Thanks to lots of interference, Lethal defeats the former two-time ROH champion. [****]
Match #9 NWA World’s Heavyweight Championship Special Ref: “God’s Last Gift” Tyler Black “Fine Like Wine” Jimmy Rave vs. “Mr. Wrestling” Kevin Steen ©
It’s main event time! Jimmy Rave has put on some stellar performances in the past two months but he’ll have to put on his greatest performance yet if he’s gonna walk out of Baltimore with the World’s Championship. Even though Black does nothing unethical, he makes his presence felt early on as he doesn’t allow Steen to do his usual “Larry Zbyszko Tribute Act” and forces the champ to be active in the ring. This seems to throw Steen off his game a bit as Rave goes after his leg. For the first time since he won the title, it’s Steen that’s fighting from underneath and wrestling the match that Rave wants to wrestle. Steen gets in his shots, nearly drawing a count out victory after a Steenalizer into the turnbuckle sends the challenger sprawling to the outside. Of course, Rave’s ability to absorb absurd amounts of punishment allows him to beat the 20 count.
Steen goes to beat on Rave in the corner but the challenger somehow grabs onto Steen’s leg, rolls through, and slaps on the Heel Hook! Black is right there to see if Steen submits as the champion is howling in agony. Steen thinks about tapping a couple times before he’s finally able to get a single finger on the rope to force a break. The champ’s hobbling on one foot as Rave quickly tries to put him back in the hold. He knows Steen’s hurt and he’s going for the finish. Steen struggles with everything he has, landing several stiff blows to Rave’s back before sending him crashing shoulder-first into the ring post! Steen takes a few seconds to shake out the pain before crawling up the second turnbuckle, using Rave’s hair to drag the challenger up with him. There’s a few awkward moments of positioning before Steen muscles Rave up. Package Piledriver off the second turnbuckle! Steen collapses on top of Rave and gets the win!
Say what you will about Kevin Steen but he really proved his worth as a champion tonight by pulling out a clean win in a tough title defense. Having fulfilled his duty, Black hands the title to Steen but the champ demands that Black personally strap the title around his waist. Of course, Tyler is like, “hell nah”, and Superkicks Steen square in the jaw! The broadcast ends with Black raising the World’s Championship over his head, sending a clear message to Steen that he’s coming for the belt. [***]

SSB hitting that pay window, but something tells me it's too soon for BLCKOUT's reign to end. Robert Anthony is back, baby! Romero is the new TV Champ and a deserving one at that. Glad to see that feud elevated both Rocky and Jimmy. RIP Teddy Hart 😢😢 BLCKOUT dominated, retaining the tag titles and Lethsl scored a major win over Aries. And Steen vs. Black should be a main event worthy of headlining Starrcade.

Really wondering who the mystery man is. I feel like he'll be back soon, maybe assuring BLKOUT keeps their titles over SSB? Great stuff man!

NWA Wrestling [73%] Episode #17 11/23/11 TAPED in Charlotte, North Carolina Announcers: Steve Prazak & Peter LaSalle
- After the show intro, the music of The BLKOUT hits as the stable comes to the ring. In addition to the usual crew, the unknown man that helped Lethal defeat Austin Aries is also with them. Fans with a keen eye might recognize him as Consequence Creed from TNA/Xavier Woods from FCW but he’s introduced here as Xavier Creed. To the surprise of no one, Creed is introduced as the latest member of the faction. Feeling himself after his iPPV win, Lethal questions the legitimacy of Tyler Black being selected to receive the next shot at Kevin Steen and the world’s title. Although Lethal remarks that he has a good idea why that decision was made, he challenges Black to a match tonight. If Lethal wins, he replaces Black at Starrcade! [72%] 1. Paul Burchill makes his first TV appearance in a while, tearing through Cliff Compton like wet tissue paper. Burchill throws Compton around like a man half his size before drilling his face into the mat with a Curb Stomp. Nothing else to see here, move along. The only notable thing here is that the announcers confirm that Black has accepted Lethal’s challenge for a match tonight. [*¼]
- At the announce booth, Steve Prazak informs the audience that Starrcade (taking place in Houston, Texas) will take place on December 18th and air live on PPV. No, that’s not a typo. Call your local cable provider because for the first time, we’re doing traditional PPV. Of course, that means this show will be more expensive than any of our iPPV’s but shhhh, we ain’t gotta say that on TV. In the middle of the shilling, Prazak hears something in his earpiece and says that there’s some kind of disturbance going on backstage. The cameras cut to the scene where Drake Younger and Eddie Kingston are beating the hell out of each other. There’s ton of security attempting to hold both men back but each time the situation seems to be under control, one of them breaks free and all hell breaks loose again. The scene finally ends with both guys being handcuffed and placed into seperate police cars. “Eddie and Drake are likely gonna spend the night in a jail cell but something tells me, this is far from over!”, quips Peter LaSalle. [73%]- Backstage, TV Champion Rocky Romero is downing a bottle of champagne as Armando Alejandro Estrada walks around with another bottle. In the background, KENTA stands against the wall, looking as stoic as ever. Tommy Dreamer waddles in and asks Romero for some thoughts on his upcoming title defense against Robert Anthony tonight. “Azúcar” dismisses the challenge, saying that he’s been partying virtually 24/7 since winning the title and he plans on keeping the party going after defeating that “ham n’ egger” Robert Anthony. On cue, Ray Gordy and Shawn Daivari, collectively known as The Party, come through looking to join the festivities. “Any time we hear about a sick party, we gotta show up!” Romero seems unsure at first but once Gordy & Daivari reveal the bottles of Cristal they brought as party favors, the champ gladly welcomes his guests. [67%]2. Ruckus & Blk Jeez are coming off a huge tag title defense against The Hardy Boys but they have to put the belts on the line again as they take on some familiar foes in The Super Smash Brothers. SSB earned this title shot by winning a four-way match at Scars & Stars and they are clearly feeding off that momentum as they keep the champs on the backfoot throughout this one. A couple false finishes has the fans believing they are going to see a tag title change but Ruckus makes damn sure that doesn’t happen by whacking Player Uno with the belt right in front of the ref. Of course, that triggers the DQ and awards SSB the match while also potentially costing them the titles. Deciding that this is a fight they can continue another day, The BLKOUT bail to the back, leaving SSB to pout in the ring over the cheap finish. Solid match that was predictably hurt by the anti-climatic ending. [**½]
- Matt & Jeff Hardy come out for an in-ring promo segment. Long story short, Matt feels that their defeat in Baltimore was a sign that he needs to take a break from wrestling. His body’s a mess, his personal life is filled with chaos, and he needs to step away from this sport he loves so much to reflect on his career and decide where he wants to go in life. Matt promises that this isn’t “goodbye forever” but simply “goodbye for now.” Jeff mainly serves as moral support, not saying anything but clearly backing up his brother and his decision. The brothers hug to close out the segment before they both go out and start shaking hands with fans. A couple days before the iPPV, Matt let me know that he needed some time off to heal from some nagging injuries so he’s going on a sabbatical of sorts. [75%]3. In a match that I had incredibly high hopes for, KENTA and Low-Ki tear the house down in one of the more brutal TV matches you’ll ever see. Stiff strikes and tight submissions are the story of this one as the fans are on their feet from start to finish. Eventually, Low-Ki gains the upper hand with a series of moves, leaving KENTA in position for the Warrior’s Way! Similar to Sunday, KENTA bows to his opponent much to the disdain of his manager Armando Alejandro Estrada. The NOAH star goes back to Japan for a tour after this month so gotta get these appearances in while I can. [****¼]
- TO THE BACK~! Primo Colon & Richie Steamboat are hanging out when they are jumped from behind by The Switchblade Conspiracy. They leave the babyfaces laying before Moxley pulls out a pair of scissors and cuts off a lock of Steamboat’s hair. Sami seems confused before Mox calls it a “trophy.” [67%] 4. With the television championship on the line, Robert Anthony goes hold for hold with Rocky Romero in another stellar match. Romero is probably the most consistent in-ring worker we have and he works his magic here as he does lots of flashy moves but always takes time out to rile up the crowd and make sure the cheers for him are at a minimum. Ego puts in a strong performance as well, keeping “Azúcar” on the ropes until he eats knees on a Frog Splash attempt. Romero tries to slap on an Armbar but Anthony shifts his weight on top of Romero, leaving the champ’s shoulders down. One, two, three! We got a new champion!!!!! Rocky’s jaw is wide open in disbelief as the ref awards Ego the TV championship. Romero’s reign barely lasted 72 hours! [****¼]- We get a wacky video backstage where Chuck Taylor runs into some backstage geek. He chats the guy up like an old friend, hugging him and asking him how his family is doing. It’s a nice little conversation but it’s not until the geek walks away that Taylor reveals that he stole the poor man’s wallet. Shout out to Eddie Guerrero tho. [72%]5. A spot in the Starrcade main event is on the line as Tyler Black takes on the leader of the BLKOUT, Jay Lethal. The story here is that Lethal does his best to keep the match grounded while Black takes full advantage of his speed to dive around the ring. The crowd is clearly tired from the last two matches but they get into this one by the end when they are trading moves and teasing finishers. A Superkick duel unfolds before both men collapse. Here comes Xavier Creed to try and distract the ref but Austin Aries is right behind him, yanking him off the apron and throwing him into the steel steps! Back in the ring, a Buckle Bomb stuns Lethal before Fade to Black finishes him off. Good main event to close out this week’s show as Black secures his world title match at Starrcade. [***]

NWA News & Notes 11/30/2011 NWA Signs TV Deal with VH1; New Show Debuting on December 3rd
- Major news was announced today as NWA Owner Magic held a press conference to announce that the company had signed a deal with television company VH1. Starting on December 3rd, the NWA will have a new weekly show airing on Saturdays. The inaugural episode will be held in Atlanta, Georgia and will be LIVE! This show had previously been advertised as a live event before the announcement today. Following the first episode, the show will be taped but the feeling amongst VH1 executives was that making the first show live will boost the rating. - Internally, the idea is for the new VH1 show to be treated as the “A-Show” going forward. The national syndication show that airs on Wednesdays will now show clipped matches from house shows and dark matches from TV tapings. - Going forward, don’t expect the company to tape all their TV in Charlotte. They’ll still treat that building as their home base but the company plans on taping in other towns on a touring basis. - From a business standpoint, this VH1 deal not only exposes the company to a bigger audience but has also improved the company’s cash flow significantly. Depending on who you listen to, there’s rumors that the NWA has already signed a major star who’s coming off an expired WWE deal. If true, he would easily be the biggest name that this NWA rebirth has signed. If the rumor is true, it’s a pretty much a guarantee that he’ll appear on the first VH1 episode to help make a splash on the new network.

NWA Wrestling [69%] Episode #18 11/30/11 TAPED in Charlotte, North Carolina Announcers: Steve Prazak & Peter LaSalle
- The show starts out with a cold open as Father James Mitchell comes into Bob Backlund’s office to talk some shit and remind him that Mitchell’s client, Bad Bones, is back from suspension. “Judgement is coming, Mr. Backlund.” Somewhat spooked, Backlund tells Mitchell to get the hell out of his office or he’s calling security. Mitchell leaves peacefully but insists that Backlund is going to be punished next week by “a force more powerful than any man alive.” [68%]1. We’re trying out a new team tonight as RV1 & Trenton Locks work together to defeat Cero Miedo in a fun opener with lots of dives. The babyfaces show good chemistry as RV1 sets up Fenix for the Gobstopper from Trenton. This went longer than the usual Cero Miedo match so they got to do more stuff than usual. They’re still green but they are getting better, no doubt. [63%]- Backstage, Paul Burchill is getting ready for his upcoming match when he starts getting into it with Eagles. They jabber back and forth before Burchill dismisses the Australian, saying that someone of his size would be better off fighting for a Cruiserweight Championship or something. Eagles is hot and wants to fight right now but Burchill laughs him off and bumps past him on his way to the ring. [62%]2. Hoss Match Alert! Keith Hansen and Paul Burchill have a good ol’ fashioned big man battle, showing off their strength through various suplexes. Burchill takes every opening he has to crack Hansen in the mouth, prompting Keith to adopt the same pace. Both men will likely be sore in the morning but neither one is going to pay windah thanks to Ryan Eagles running out with a chair. He smashes The Ripper in the head with it! Hansen protests the Australia's involvement but eats a chair shot for his trouble. All fired up, Eagles throws the chair down and poses for the hoes as the announcers send it to commercial. [72%]- Backstage, Jeff Hardy is promoting his band’s new album and hyping up their live concert on NWA TV next week when he’s interrupted by Teddy Hart. With a bandage on his head (the result of the beating he took he from Low-Ki in Baltimore) and Brian the Cat around his neck, Hart says Jeff’s music is garbage. Teddy goes as far as to claim that him and Brian would make a better band than “Peroxyhygeine or whatever.” Jeff seems amused and decides to call Teddy on his bluff. “Next week, let’s have a good ol’ fashioned Battle of the Bands! What do you say?” Without even thinking about it, Hart accepts and promises to wipe the floor with Hardy next week. [78%] - NWA World’s Champion Kevin Steen cuts a pre-taped promo addressing his Starrcade challenger, Tyler Black. Mr. Wrestling gets a little shooty half-way through it. “You know this isn’t Ring of Honor, right? I know, you were hot s[*BLEEP*] there and the poster boy for Jim Cornette’s wet dreams but this is the NWA. Actually, let me clarify that. This is Kevin Steen’s NWA.” Steen says that he’s going to defeat Black and destroy another one of the fans’ heroes like he’s been doing since winning the belt. [68%]3. Hoping to gain some form of revenge after Xavier Creed cost him his match at Scars & Stars, Austin Aries has a certain intensity to his blows as he fires away on the newest BLKOUT member. Jay Lethal is at ringside to try and serve as an equalizer but even his occasional interference can’t stop Aries from dominating this one. Creed has a bright future in this business but tonight is not his night. A Running Corner Dropkick sets up Xavier for a Brainbuster that nearly puts the kid through the mat! A-Double could obviously get the pin now but he wants to make a point, ascending to the top rope before crashing down with a 450 Splash. Aries makes sure to look dead in Lethal’s eyes as he pins his associate. [74%]- After the match, the rest of The BLKOUT enter the ring and surround Austin Aries but he’s suddenly backed up by The Super Smash Brothers! With the odds looking a lot more even, The BLKOUT decide to just take their L and carry their fallen comrade to the back. Aries doesn’t want to leave it at that, however, as he demands a mic. Mentioning how The BLKOUT always seem to roll in a group and can’t seem to go to the bathroom without having the others to back them up, Aries says he got the idea for a match that would actually suit their gang mentality. It’s a match with a ton of history here in the NWA. So much blood, sweat, and tears has been spilled in this match. It was so horrific that it was called “The Match Beyond.” “Jay Lethal, I’m officially challenging you and the rest of your cronies to WAR GAMES! Me, The Smash Bros., and one more guy against you four at Starrcade. What do ya say?” A simple nod from Lethal makes the match official. On December 18th, War Games returns! [70%] 4. Building off the sneak attack that the Switchblade Conspiracy committed last week, Sami Calihan defeats Primo Colon in singles action. With both of their respective partners watching at ringside, Primo uses his speed to catch Calihan off-guard but eventually gets caught on a Hurricarana attempt and hit with a Powerbomb. Calihan immediately transitions into the Stretch Muffler and draws the submission! Not the greatest match but it wasn’t bad. [69%]
- Drake Younger cuts a quick, pre-taped promo where he basically promises to beat Kingson’s ass. He was trying to give Eddie the benefit of the doubt due to their friendship but now, Drake sees Eddie for what he really is. “A snake.” At Starrcade, Younger says he’s gonna cut the head off the snake. [54%] 5. We got a great main event this week as the clients of Armando Alejandro Estrada, Rocky Romero & KENTA, face off against newly crowned TV champion Robert Anthony and Jerry Lynn. Similar to Scars and Stars, Lynn has no problem keeping up with the younger guys as he takes out Romero with a Sunset Flip Powerbomb to the outside. Back in the ring, Ego connects with a Springboard DDT to KENTA before putting him on his shoulders. TKO! Ego gets the win for his team, continuing to ride high after last week’s title win. Romero is not happy with KENTA taking the L and lets him know it, cussing him out in Spanish before getting shoved on his ass by the Japanese Superstar! KENTA leaves Romero and Armando in the ring as the show closes out with the announcers doing a hard sell for the live VH1 show on December 3rd. [79%]

NWA Wrestling [73%] Episode #19 12/03/11 LIVE from Atlanta, Georgia Attendance: ~450 Announcers: Steve Prazak & Peter LaSalle - Before the show intro of our VH1 debut, we see NWA Commissioner Bob Backlund stepping out a limo when he’s attacked from behind. That’s Bad Bones! True to Father James Mitchell’s word last week, “judgement” has arrived in the form of the violent German. Bones lays into Backlund with punches before throwing him face-first into the limo window! Glass goes flying everywhere as Backlund slumps down, his face covered in glass and blood. Laughing maniacally, Mitchell leads his client away as security calls for medical help. Now, we can go to the show intro. [71%] 1. Despite the beating that the NWA commissioner just took, the show must go on. Richie Steamboat and Jon Moxley have a basic, meat and potatoes opener to start out our run on a new network. Moxley does a great job antagonizing Steamboat, slapping him in the face with open palms. The young second-generation star can only take so much until he fires up, running wild on Ambrose with Arm Drags before securing the win with a Small Package roll-up. Primo gasses up his partner as they celebrate on the ramp while Ambrose just smiles and laughs, promising that this won’t be the last time they face off. [**½]
- Backstage, The BLKOUT are chilling in their locker room. Lethal is getting ready for tonight’s star studded main event (Peter LaSalle describes it as “a 10-man tag match featuring some of the biggest stars the NWA has to offer!”) while Blk Jeez is reading the riot act to the newcomer, Xavier Creed. Jeez lets Creed know that he has to earn his stripes if he wants to officially be considered part of the group. “Helping out Jay against that buster Austin Aries was a good start but you gotta be able to carry your weight in the ring.” Ruckus, smoking a black & mild, blows a big cloud of smoke into Xavier’s face before echoing his partner’s statements. He wasn’t too impressed by the way he lost to Aries last week. Since the group can’t have any “weak links” going into War Games, Ruckus tells the newb to show his killer instinct in his match with Jerry Lynn tonight. “Come back to this locker room as a winner or don’t come back at all.” [82%]
- Time for the Battle of the Bands between Jeff Hardy and Teddy Hart! Jeff is backed up by his band, PeroxWhy?Gen. Teddy, on the other hand, simply has a guitar in his hand and Brian The Cat by his side. The Hart prodigy goes first, singing an off-key tune talking about how much Jeff Hardy and his fans suck. Also, he takes a shot at the local Atlanta Falcons because cheap heat, bay-bay. For his turn, Jeff’s band perform one of their crappy songs off one of their terrible albums. Tommy Dreamer, hosting this contest, polls the crowd to see who should win. Not surprisingly, the ultra popular Hardy wins in a landslide. Jeff thanks the crowd and is getting ready to perform an encore when he gets Teddy’s guitar smashed over his head! It’s the El Kabong special as Hart is clearly not happy about losing what he describes as a “rigged” contest. Hart mockingly bows to the crowd as the fans let him know what a dick he is. [70%]
2. Ryan Eagles caused a No-Contest between Paul Burchill and Keith Hansen last week after he destroyed both guys with chairs. Hansen wasn’t too happy about that and requested a match with Eagles tonight. From the start, Eagles comes flying at the former WWE star, not giving him a chance to breathe between his constant offense. Hansen tries to create some distance between him and the smaller man but each time, Eagles closes the gap with impressive speed. A Diving Senton from the top rope nearly defeats Hansen but he manages to regroup, blasting Eagles with a Headbutt as he attempts to dive off the top rope again. A Lariat soon follows and that’s enough to earn Hansen the W. Hard fought match between two tough guys. [*¾]
- Backstage, Team Black (Tyler Black, Drake Younger, Austin Aries, Hurricane Helms & Low-Ki) are discussing strategy as they prepare for tonight’s main event. They come to an agreement and dap each other before exiting the room. When they are the last two in the room, Ki grabs Helms before he can go and asks if he can talk to him about something. Basically, Ki knows that Helms was a proud TV champion that would love a rematch but his claim to one became very muddled thanks to Robert Anthony winning the title from Rocky Romero so quickly after the Cuban beat Helms. He also refers back to the ladder match in September when it came down to the two of them fighting over the TV title. Ki acknowledges Helms as a great warrior and says he wants to test his strength against the superhero one more time at Starrcade. Just to sweeten the pot for Helms, Ki was able to get Backlund (before his brutal assault earlier, of course) to sign off on making the match a #1 Contender’s match for the TV title. Embracing the opportunity to compete against someone as talented as Ki, Helms agrees and we got another match set up for the 18th in Houston! [74%]
3. In a battle of “young vs. old”, Xavier Creed finds himself on the back foot against the established veteran Jerry Lynn. Lynn uses his in-ring smarts to constantly outmaneuver his opponent, frustrating the BLKOUT member and causing him to make several mental errors. Finally, Creed draws on that killer instinct Jeez was talking about by cracking Lynn in the jaw with a pair of Brass Knuckles that he pulled out of his tights! The ref is none the wiser as Creed plants Lynn with the Unprettier and steals a big win over the legend. [**]
- With Armando Alejandro Estrada by his side, Rocky Romero cuts a pre-taped promo where he announces that he is challenging for the TV title at Starrcade. He promises to win “his” title back and give the TV world the beautiful champion it deserves. [68%]
4. Speak of the devil, TV Champion Robert Anthony defends his title against Chris Cage, who’s been missing from TV in recent weeks. Here’s the good news. This match kicked ass. Here’s the bad news. None of the TV audience saw it because of technical difficulties cutting out the feed. I was so damn mad backstage, I now understand why Vince has his outbursts. I cussed out every production person I could find but by the time we got the issue resolved and the feed live again, the match was over. Anthony retained after a TKO. If this match aired, it would be one of the best TV matches we’ve ever had. As it stands now, it was just a great treat for the live audience. We are so unbelievably ghetto. []
- Before our star studded main event, we see another limo pull up to the building. There’s a long pause as a couple security dweebs make sure the coast is clear. Then, the man they are protecting walks out.
Peter LaSalle: “That’s...That’s…
Steve Prazak: “THAT’S RANDY ORTON!”
Sure enough, the youngest WWE champion in history was in the building. He’s in a clean ass suit as he’s escorted by his security team to an unknown location. Yeah, it’s an EWR diary, fool. Randy Orton let his deal with WWE expire and you know I had to swipe him up. I have no idea why on earth they would let him walk but their loss is our gain. [88%]
5. We got ourselves a 10-man tag war to close out the first show on VH1. On one side, you got Tyler Black, Hurricane Helms, Low-Ki, Austin Aries, & Drake Younger. On the other side, you got Kevin Steen, Jay Lethal, Paul Burchill, Chuck Taylor, & Eddie Kingston. Needless to say, this match is chaotic. The ref has trouble controlling the action at a few points as there’s just too many rivalries and testerone to contain. They get a lot of time, resulting in everybody getting a decent amount of in-ring time with the exception of Eddie Kingston. The announcers play it off like Kingston doesn’t want to share the ring with Younger but there is another, non-kayfabe reason for it that I’ll go into later. The match comes down to Burchill and Black. The Ripper goes for the standing Spanish Fly but Black somehow lands on his feet and catches Burchill with a Superkick to the Jaw. Buckle Bomb, Fade to Black, that’s all she wrote. [**¾]

December 12th, 2011 It’s been a couple days since our VH1 debut and I have a colossal headache. Not because of the show, that actually went relatively well. Yeah, we had a blackout that caused us to go off-air for a bit BUT the show was strong overall and we popped a great rating. VH1 is already discussing doing more live shows next year. No, it was something else causing my headache. Sophie: "Hey, we got a call from Eddie earlier today. He says that he’s doing well and he already feels like he’s in a better place. I think that facility is going to be really good for him." Magic: "I certainly hope so, that shit wasn’t cheap." A death glare from Sophie quickly gets me to change my tone. Magic: "I mean, I totally care about Eddie as a human being and don’t just see him as a means to make money. Totally." So yeah, turns out Eddie Kingston has a serious drug problem. On the day of the VH1 show, he was MIA until shortly before the main event was scheduled to start. It wasn’t until he stumbled out there that everybody else in the ring quickly realized that Kingston was in the infamous “no condition to perform.” Reading the situation, the other 9 men collectively made the decision to let Kingston sit on the apron and do practically nothing. Once the show was over, I confronted Eddie and he broke down in front of me, saying that his drug addiction was ruining his life and he badly needed to be in a rehab facility. By the next day, we were able to find a great place and get Eddie all checked in. The big downside here is that Eddie was penciled in to face Drake Younger in a Hardcore match at Starrcade. As such, I had to scramble to re-arrange my TV booking plans. Just when I thought I had things figured out, I got another piece of bad news. Sophie: "Oh, by the way, Teddy Hart blew off a public appearance at a local radio station yesterday." Magic: "Again!?" Sophie: "Yes, again. He claimed that he had to take his cats to their stylist." Goddamnit, Teddy. This is the third time he’s missed an appearance in the past month. I’ve been willing to give him some leeway but folks are REALLY starting to get upset with Teddy now. A couple of people are even calling for me to fire him. At least one person on the roster straight up told me, “no”, when I tossed around the idea of a program with Hart. I had to do it. Magic: "*sigh* Let Teddy know that he’s suspended without pay until the new year. If he pulls this shit again, it’ll be three months next time." Just like that, my planned Jeff Hardy/Teddy Hart match for Starrcade was off the table. We already shot the angle on TV and everything. Ughhhh...who knew owning a wrestling company could be kinda hard? Sophie: "Gotcha, I’ll let him know. Also, there was one more thing I wanted to discuss with you.' Is...is she hitting on me? Sophie: "No, you goof, I’m not hitting on you. Have you ever thought about creating a women’s division? Think about it. There’s plenty unsigned talent that won’t get a chance in WWE or TNA for a variety of reasons. Plus, it’s not like either company treats their division with all that much respect. Putting a spotlight on a women’s division could be a really good way to generate some buzz on the new network. It’s an untapped market just begging to be taken advantage of." I had to admit, she was making a lot of sense. I told Sophie that I would take the idea into serious consideration as she casually slid a list on my desk of the top female free agents. Something tells me she’s been planning this for a while behind my back...
NWA TV on Syndication 12/7/11 Quick Results - Derrick Bateman defeated Johnny Gargano in a competitive, 8 minute bout. (**)- After his win, Bateman cuts a post-match promo hyping himself up as a future star in the NWA. “Talent over tenure” and all that stuff. (65%)
- Paul Burchill suffers a surprising loss to Ryan Eagles. Burchill seems to be in control for most of the match before Eagles catches him outta nowhere with a Headlock Driver for the win. (**¾)- A pre-taped promo air where Trenton Locks and RV1 make their team official, calling themselves the Stellar Ninja Force. Much like RV1, Trenton is dressed up in ninja gear, complete with face mask. - The Super Smash Brothers get ready for War Games at Starrcade by defeating the make-shift team of Kaos and the debuting Shiima Xion. (**¼)- We get a bunch of quick promos from guys on the roster giving their thoughts on the blockbuster addition of Randy Orton to the NWA roster. Most people seem to be cool with it but one person in particular has a problem. When asked for his thoughts, Danny Havoc was very surly, calling Randy a “lazy, resthold spamming bitch.” Havoc says that the NWA needs to stop gassing up these guys that are coasting off their previous reputations and focus on guys like himself who are looking to create their own legacy right here in the NWA. (68%)- Rocky Romero puts away Akira Tozawa with a Tombstone Piledriver in a short match. (**) - Chuck Taylor hosts his own talk show (creatively named “The Chuckie T Show”) where his first guest is Jimmy Rave. Taylor ends up being a super rude host, talking over his guest several times and generally burying Rave like he wasn’t right next to him. Eventually, the former Crown Jewel has enough and tosses Taylor out of his seat! Chuckie T bails up the ramp as Jimmy Rave destroys the rest of the set in the ring. Damn, one show in and shit is already being broken. Not a great start for the Chuckie T show. (78%)- The Switchblade Conspiracy collided with Primo Colon & Richie Steamboat, defeating the babyface duo after an Air Raid Crash from Moxley to Steamboat.
