The film is out tomorrow yet I haven’t seen a single review. Could be nothing, could be a bad sign.

I can’t believe this film is already f***ing coming out...NO interest in seeing it but a lot of anticipation for the reviews.

Oh yeah, I know it’s down to an embargo but it’s not normal to have an embargo still in place on the day it’s released in one of the major markets.

Disney have a weird tendency with embargoes at times, probably more than most studios depending on the film. But yeah, it is slightly more bizarre in this case.

I’m not saying you’re not wrong but just throwing that out there.

Reviews are starting to come out. 71 percent on Rotten Tomatoes right now. That's around what I expected. Lot of praise for Will Smith's genie as well as for Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud.

I hope it has the crazy cloud world from the SNES game in it. I don't care if it doesn't make sense, that level is gorgeous.

Seems like expectations for it at the box office are all over the place, but does seem like regardless this is going to be a big step down from Beauty and the Beast unless it manages to be a surprise huge hit. Depending on the source some places are tracking it opening to less worldwide than that did just domestically.

My dude Stuckmann politely slams this. - Bad acting - Wonky transitions from the cartoon that don’t work. - Guy Ritchie musical directing being off. - Stretched out to space out the length. - Says Will Smith is the best part. And comes off really well.

Just came out from seeing it.
It’s...fine. Yeah, should have been a bit more spectacular and Jafar should have been more menacing but...it’s a fine way to spend 2 hours.
I get the outrage of all these remakes but...I don’t know, they’re just fine time wasters to me. I don’t even have to watch them. I only went because it was a birthday planned thing.

I read the synopsis on Wikipedia (I save many moneys that way, lol) and it makes me want to watch the animated movie. {Spoiler}It's the same thing. Very little different. Heck, reading the live action's plot reminded me of stuff from the animated movie's plot.
1 new character in this one, though, and their role sounds interesting actually. I'll see it eventually, I guess. I just fear the singing....I'll mute it and recall Robin...

Eh, I'll still give it a watch. I'll probably do a discount day showing.

I really enjoyed it. 'Avatar'-level using 3-D for depth, can't imagine seeing it without that. You really feel like you're in the lavish but claustrophobic Agrabah. My full review: goradiomn.com/cccaladdin/

I think I will skip this.
It looks pretty mediocre, Will Smith never intetests me and the live action remakes so farhave ranged from crap to ok.

I liked it. We went in with low expectations but we were pleasantly surprised. This and Lion King were my jams as a kid, so my nostalgia was in full effect here. Will Smith did a great job, he made it his own thing, without being overly obnoxious. Scott was a Disney princess come to life. Serious she was Jasmine and the Pink Power Ranger, she’s playing all my childhood crushes. Aladdin was a little wonky at times, but I felt he did the character justice. The music was spot on.
This is probably the best Disney life action adaptation so far, Jungle Book being a close 2nd, but if you really don’t care for this trend then you probably won’t like this one either.
