EBWOP
I was informed of who I protected on night one since I wouldn’t be able to select them on night two.
I don’t see why that would incriminate me.
You honestly think I don’t know I joined mid game?

And before you get the town killed, perhaps you would like to “poke more holes” in my story?

And that ladies and gentlemen is a lynch.
Write up is going to be posted tomorrow. I’m having issues with my laptop staying charged so I almost had the write up done and it got deleted when my laptop shut off.

8 April 1888 The Whitechapel Vigilance Committee reconvenes in an effort to stop The Ripper once and for all. After examining the known associates of the latest victim, Elizabeth Chapman, the committee settles upon Mr. Montgomery Pruitt, a well respected barrister that had the most recent contact with the deceased. Mr. Pruitt has been known to do pro bono work for those deemed “less fortunate” by society’s standards, much to the chagrin of his father, a well off and very well-connected socialite.
Those who know Pruitt recall how, in addition to being one of the finest lawyers in Blackheath, he is also an assistant schoolmaster to the nearby law school. His reputation there is one of a very kind man, aiding any student in need of knowledge or support. However, there are also unsubstantiated rumors about Mr. Pruitt. There are tales of eccentric behavior, shying away from crowds and other important figures inside of his social circle. Some are quick to dismiss this talk as idle gossip from jealous peers. Others, however, point to the speculation of mental illness in his bloodline; the deaths of his grandmother and mother are shrouded in mystery, with only the faintest whispers of madness from former servants.
The committee decides to send a delegation to the Pruitt household in order to talk to the man himself and see what further information they can gather.
9 April 1888
After spending the morning and most of the afternoon creating a delegation for the inquest, the chosen few cross the river Thames into Blackheath and come upon the Pruitt residence just before dark. After a brief wait, Mr. William Pruitt, Montgomery’s father, meets with the group in order to answer their questions.
Dispensing with the formalities early, the Committee learns some more about their suspect. Montgomery was recently released from his job at the school, a result of rumors that he had a sordid affair with Elizabeth Chapman, a “lowly commoner.” It was also expected that he was going to lose his position in the law firm he was employed at for the same reason. Further discussion also revealed that he had been legal counsel for both James Saddleback and Thomas Benn.
Having heard enough, the delegates ask for Mr. Pruitt to be brought to them so that he may be escorted to the Whitechapel Police for further questioning. William informs them as this is not possible, seeing as his son has vanished. All that was found in his room was a mysterious note. William produces an envelope from his pocket and gives it to the committee members. Written on the envelope are the words “Give to those you deem appropriate.” With the blessing of William, the leader of the Vigilance Committee opens the envelope an reads aloud the letter within:
Three days later, the body of Montgomery Pruitt is dredged from the river Thames. The Ripper is no more.
Dead: Montgomery Pruitt, Mafia Roleblocker
TOWN WINS!!!! Congratulations on eliminating the vile Ripper!
Thank you to everyone who played and I sincerely hope that you enjoyed playing as much as I enjoyed hosting.

BTW, the name that Jonathan Michaels used for his role claim is the name of one of the actual investigators of the Whitechapel Murders. That was a fantastic detail to use and it threw me off for a bit.

Thank you! Ah man, that was a rollercoaster of a game. I was the Cop and found Brad's and Joker's innocence pretty quickly, but then I died so it didn't really help town. skull not being killed Night 1 made me think he was Scum... But Gus did all the scum tells to start. I feel like I was getting on the right path, great game Town!

You did a good job, I think of not revealing your role but making yourself feel like Town. No clue what you were but I figured you were a safe bet to protect. Got incredibly lucky. As the game progressed, I figured you were the Cop and was worried that we would be too handicapped without you to win.

I did have you and jag on my shortlist of scum after Day 2, I must admit.

Jono using an actual name was a good move. However, had anybody looked into the other names of confirmed roles would have realized they were variants and amalgamations of actual people/victims. I didn’t use any legit names, opting to use bastard versions in an attempt to dissuade players from looking outside the game for hints at roles. Brad actually noticed this fairly early in the game.
Was honestly surprised no one on the mafia side claimed Meat’s role after his death. The Janitor role allowed them to learn the name and role of the victim while town was left in the dark. Meat’s death write up, btw, was inspired by one of the actual murders where only a torso was found.

Huzzah! Our quaint hamlet is safe once more. Good game, everyone. It was a pleasure playing with you all. If I upset or offended anybody at any point, I apologize. I was only trying to win the game. I hope there are no hard feelings. Thanks for the game, Produceman.

The big issue I’m having right now is that you were roleblocked on night one and Meat should have died.
