What does he even mean "earn the right"? She hasn't earned the right to defend herself? She's the biggest star in WWE and got there through hard work. She can call out any has-been she pleases if they take shots at her first.

I wonder if Animal got pissed off at Foley saying that he didn't want to turn into the Road Warriors in one of his books, that they went from main eventers to "locker room punchlines" in a few years time, and that "used to be" didn't mean a lot in wrestling.
Which, I know the followup is going to be "Foley did this and this" but I mean, yeah. He didn't act like he was still a world devourer after he was over the hill, like they still were in '98, or '03 or whenever, and therefore probably wasn't getting mocked behind his back.

Plus the world devourer thing is cuz they were booked that way. They were RIGHTFULLY booked that way, don't get me wrong, and had the talent to go with their physicality. Undeniably they're one of the best teams ever. But if they weren't booked as unstoppable, they coulda been like Warlord and Barbarian. I get Powers of Pain is a rip off and those dudes weren't nearly as talented, but they're an example of a huge muscle team with only meh booking and what coulda happened had companies not realized what they had in the Road Warriors.
