I'm sure the women in the band are lovely people, but get outta here. Forgive me, I don't know either of them, but trailblazers? Okay then... WWE's two steps away from trying to trademark the word.
We didn't need you and we didn't want you. We came to see the wrestlers wrestle.

I mean Lzzy Hale and Nita Strauss are pretty damn famous to be honest.

Admittedly I had to google them and they're both pretty famous in the metal community. And we know who's a metalhead.

I mean Lzzy Hale and Nita Strauss are pretty damn famous to be honest. Right, had no issue with it. Both have a lot in common with women's wrestling, trying to make a name in a male dominated medium. I mean it was the equivalent of having the theme song playing at the beginning of a show. No problems from me.

If you watched WrestleMania this year, Nita Strauss was part of Shinsuke Nakamura’s entrance.
I didn’t mind the performance at all; it was just one song. Like when Code Orange opened NXT Takeover: Brooklyn 3 by playing the show’s theme song and WWE spliced in clips of the wrestlers—it was like a live-action opening video. Better than that Kid Rock abomination at WrestleMania 25. (In some alternate universe, it’s probably still going on.)

Aw man I slept in and missed most of the show, they opened on Lzzy Hale?

That was the worst performance I have ever heard from Lzzy Hale. She is actually a very good singer.
To call her or Nita "trailblazers" is an exaggeration. There were many women rock guitarists before either of them.

I find it hillarious how a PPV called evolution held in the year 2018 has music that sounds like its from the f***ing 80s performed at it.
At least they didn't have Kid Rock FT Flo Rida, the Marley who didn't sing welcome to jamrock and Lunchman Lewis do a medley though I suppose

Trailblazers was yeah. Apparently in Cole's world women like Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Shirley Manson, Janis Joplin, and Heart, don't exist.

Orton should do a concert outta nowhere. Instead of creeping in to the ring to do an RKO he should appear with Elias & Aiden English and perform a medley of greatest swing band hits. No one would expect that.

TBH it made sense in following the theme that NXT has for their TakeOver shows (and this was sorta around Halloween time so a Metal Band would make sense, taboot) NXT had two high profile matches on the card (3 if you count the MYC Finals, which the NXT Women's match was a rubber match rematch of) so having a concert to start off the festivities made perfect sense to me.
Of course, I would've preferred it if Shayna Bayzler had a live entrance theme metal version of her theme song played with lyrics, like Aliester Black did on one of the TakeOver ppv main events but a concert opener works too. If it ain't broke don't fix it, Women's Wrestling on NXT and the NXT TakeOver 'style' has worked great in the past few years for Women's Wrestling. If the OP has a problem with music and sports, I would suggest the times they are a-passin' you by for the next generation of wrestling fans.

The sound kept dimming live. Other than that, it was pretty badass.

So we just complain about anything? It was harmless and a nice open.
