Look up Ric Flair in TNA. Lol I guess, this feels sadder because it never surprised me that Ric came back. Shawn was so passed the finish line. To come back from such a pristine retirement, under these circumstances, for that blunderous match. It's crazy to me. It’s not really that crazy if you think about it. He got millions for this one match. He did it for the money. That’s all. If it was for his fans he would’ve returned in his home state in his home country. He “sold out” as wrestling fans used to say.

I want him and Bryan to have like an old school HBK main event that is more about drama and psychology than high spots.

He doesn't want to work someone younger. He doesn't think he can keep up with them. Yeah, well before this PPV was a thing he would say they only he'd return would be to team with HHH as he didn't think he could work a full match. Though he did a good job when he was forced to today
I said in the thread you can see him getting his wind and knocking off the rust as he stayed in the ring more
I think if he really wanted and had a few matches to work up his stamina, he could work a 15-20 min match

Is there a sadder unretirement than this one?

Get him in the ring against a Styles, Bryan or Rollins and just as others have said, we’d have a really good match. Those guys would have to do the carrying, though, don’t you think? Seth’s track record with a fifty-something year old wrestler is not very good.

I feel like he could easily still put on a classic to be remembered against someone that is competent. Rollins, Joe (Who he has stated he's wanted to wrestle himself), Styles, Bryan, etc. Taker and Kane are not the opponents he should have had his first comeback match for... Styles vs HBK sells itself though, especially for Mania.

Is there a sadder unretirement than this one? Christ I forgot Flair took a superplex in TNA. Dude must be nuts considering his back issues...

Why do so many here wants to see him wrestle Rollins? The last over 50 guy he wrestled he ended his career, remember

He looked like a crackhead lol.
That match was just sad to watch. HHH was the only one that looked good. The rest of them looked broken down and well past it.
Please, no more Taker/Kane/HBK.

Given that it was his first match in 8 years against a bunch of other old dudes, he looked rough, IMO. Slower, stuff wasn't landing like it used to, etc. He barely got up off the mat for the flying forearm, but he did land a nice kip up after that.
Like others have said, if he was protected in a tag match with younger guys it would have been fine. I still think that if he's up for it, we're going to get something crazy like HBK vs. AJ or Daniel Bryan vs. HBK at WrestleMania, but whether or not he's up for it now is the big question.
