Funny, this has me tempted to start a thread on PPVs where every title changes hands, but I don't want to spoil this show for anyone who couldn't watch it yet.

Can somebody else talk about how Shingo needs to be unleashed? I miscalculated and have an extra strong zero

Ahh. Well yeah, I don’t wanna be anecdotal or ask you to believe my Japanese ability but Tana has cutely been regarded as a strong speaker. He started shy but think about him as Cena now—he knows anything he says is law So happy he won. Not even his biggest fan but will gladly admit I shed a tear

I wasn’t as high on most of the matches as everyone else (the only real clunker for me was Juice and Cody), but I really loved the main event. I don’t follow New Japan that closely for the most part, but they did a freaking fantastic job in telling the story and getting me invested in it.

So we saw the return of classic Okada, a little bit of classic Naito (which hopefully doesn't negate the redemption story other wise he wasted a year) and Kenny went back to heelish roots including dying his hair grey again
NYD is going to be interesting

What a weird contrast to having the life sucked out of the dome. Almost like one is better than the other?
Forgive my sarcasm, not in the mood to fight. I don’t think this was a great WK by any means but the last two matches were great, Shingo giving just a taste, and all the right winners. Thoroughly fun show. I hope people who just signed up will stick around, as much as I bash NJPW it’s a slam dunk for good matches and I plan to be at many this year.
Just check out ajpw Noah ddt and marvelous when you can lol

I guess I’d say TJPW was the overall better show I enjoyed today, but WK had the much better highs

Kenny Omega vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi: Great, great match with just non stop action and storytelling. The botch move and only 1 High Fly Flow ending was flat in my opinion
Chris Jericho vs. Tetsuya Naito: Crazy brawl with brutal spots. I really enjoyed it, but no more Jericho...in any company lol
Kazuchika Okada vs. Jay White: Slow and wonky start, but really picked up and turn into a really good match. I'm not a New Japan regular watcher, but White winning was clearly the right call with the new era storyline.
KUSHIDA vs. Taiji Ishimori: I was disappointed with this match . Just fell flat. 205 has had much better matches lately.
Cody vs. Juice Robinson: Boring! boring! boring! Also Cody botching Juice's finisher was brutal
Guerrillas of Destiny vs. EVIL & SANADA vs. The Young Bucks: Ok match. Nothing special.
Tomohiro Ishii vs. Zack Sabre Jr.: Didn't do anything for me. Not a big Sabre Jr. guy.
Yoshinobu Kanemaru & El Desperado vs. Roppongi 3K vs. BUSHI & Shingo Takagi: Meh. Why are there even Jr Tag Titles?
Kota Ibushi vs. Will Ospreay: Great f***ing opener. Amazing athleticism. Just WOW!

Felt like the show was better than last year and everything this year was good sans Cody/Juice which wasn't bad but it wasn't on the level of everything else
Stand out moments tho got to include that crazy ass Okada/White ending sequence

Tonight was honestly the paltonic ideal of what a big show for a major promotion should be. Huge matches, story resolutions that still open the door for more character development, top notch match quality, and an emotional ending.
