the Jr match was weird tho. It’s either a send off for Kushi or a move to heavy.

So... two nights at the Dome next year. How the shit is that going to work? I'm guessing night one is going to be headlined by the Intercontinental Championship, and night two will be headlined with the Junior Heavyweight Championship. Just woke up & I'm seeing dozens of Tanahashi avatars.

God Inoki laughs from the heavens at that attendance That's the biggest claimed attendance for the company since 2012's 43k and those were clearly inflated numbers (more in the 30-35k line), also I would bet those are just the ones that paid for the ticket, so over half the Dome paying tickets to see the show is really quite good.

I mentioned this during the IC title match but now that the shower is over I want to come back to the point because I feel it even stronger now: this show's three top matches took the same six guys from last year's, switched them around, and produced three better matches across the board. Tanahashi/White was a fine match that wasn't memorable at all and convinced almost nobody of Knife Pervert as a potential star for New Japan. Omega/Jericho was a really good hardcore match that had a novelty factor of being unlike a New Japan match in so many ways. Okada/Naito felt like a slow build that ended when it should have begun ramping up despite its 35 minute runtime, and obviously left a lot of people deflated.
By contrast, Okada/White was a really exciting and interesting match with a crazy finish that caught everyone by surprise. Naito/Jericho managed to work the hardcore elements in with a New Japan big match format and a lot of emotional turmoil in a way that made for something so much more captivating. Omega/Tanahashi was a struggle between two men not only physically but ideologically. All three matches were better worked and more intriguing than their counterparts the year before and it's crazy to think how much a year and some shuffling around could make.

If that’s true it has to be co promotion or mega signing.

Otherwise I would've gone with "New Japan's also laughs from the heavens at your shows that need papering to fill half the Korakuen Hall"

I am not feeling well and slept like shit last night, so called out of work today. Was thinking of watching this. How much is it on Fire Tv, anyone know? The NJPW streaming service seems too confusing to me.

Can’t wait to go next year. Anyone from this forum that visits, one drink on me and plenty of surrounding recommendations

I have this feeling Omega swerves everyone and takes that WWE deal. If they offered him 3 million or so a year, he would have to.

I have a feeling that we’ll all wake up tomorrow and discover that KUSHIDA, that time-traveling sumbitch, went back in time and reversed the results of this show
And also Huey Lewis and the News will be singing the WK theme

We'll know more about Omega after the results of the NYD show I have a feeling. It does seem to set up White getting the first title shot at Tanahashi though. Most of the results here were expected. They need to be careful with this Jay White thing though. All the earmarks of a guy getting a bad push.
Why exactly would Omega stay in NJPW though? He has accomplished about everything he can at this point. I guess he could stay for 1 more year to have a big money match with Ibushi at the Dome and put him over, but how much jobbing does he want to do in big Dome matches?

AJ Styles is going to be talked about forever now. Go make some real history, nahmean?
