You laugh, but they may. Early black and white Mickey Mouse cartoons did have blackface from time to time, to say nothing of Mickey’s behavior not exactly being PC, let alone a corporate symbol. Remember, he SHOT PLUTO in a short on a hunting trip. Then there is the WWII shorts. If Der Fuehrer’s Face shows up for viewing, I for one would be absolutely stunned. Good luck showing Education For Death or Reason and Emotion. And then there’s the Story of Mensturation... Most of Donald, Goofy and later Mickey should be fine, but Disney did a LOT that, at least, might be troublesome. I wish they'd add all of that stuff and just put disclaimers before it or age-restrict it or something. No chance. Whatever they put on Disney+ has to be accessible to all audiences. If the crows are gone from Dumbo, very little chance of this getting posted. Funny, Disney claims to be proud of it’s history, but can’t run away from it fast enough.

Which is ridiculous as even WWE knows how to do this right with the Network. "Accessible to all" is also why people still fear for the Fox acquisitions and such. Yeah, yeah, Miramax in the 90s...but Disney has amped up its image since then.

With all these new show announcements, I just have this feeling that the old content so many people want to automatically be on there really......won't be. Some, perhaps, but if people expect all of the Disney Afternoon and every Mickey & Goofy short to be there Day 1....not sure... Unlike the Disney Channel, which was propped up for a few years almost solely by the archives, they have a TON of new stuff seemingly ready for launch. We know at a minimum they intend to have essentially their whole film back catalogue on there with a few exceptions like Song of the South. No word really yet though as to TV stuff. It'll be weird though if they have The Simpsons on there and not Gargoyles or Darkwing Duck. To be fair, it wouldn’t shock me if new DuckTales was setting up a Darkwing revival on Disney Channel or on Disney+. {Spoiler}Scrooge is talked into financing a gritty Darkwing movie which leads original Darkwing actor Jim Starling to go insane and try destroy the production. Launchpad and Dewey team up with the actor hired to play DW to take him down. Launchpad suggests that the actor become Darkwing for real and he signs Launchpad’s poster for him...Drake Mallard. At the end it’s revealed that Starling survived the battle and has gone completely insane...wearing the red and yellow Negaduck costume.

Is it true that Disney has all five Muppet Show seasons streaming somewhere...but they fast forward (literally) through certain parts?
My cousin told me about watching this, want to see if anyone can confirm/ID these airings.

The launch date for Disney+ is November 12th in America and will cost $6.99 a month.
Also no confirmed date internationally as of yet but some see the start of 2020 as the launch. Which says a lot about how difficult it must be to launch a streaming service when Disney can’t do a worldwide launch.

Just $1 more than the commercial-free Hulu plan. Sounds like an awesome deal to me!

Ok, this might sound like a stupid question, but is there anything on ESPN+ other then sports? I'm not a big sports fan, but I'm trying to decide if going for this combo is worth it for me.

If you actually cut out ESPN+, it's the same price actually as what this deal is going for, so probably not, unless you have somebody who likes sports, you can give them that login.

I doubt I'd use ESPN+ much, but that is a hell of a great deal for all 3.

The 30 for 30 docuseries is really well done and even though it is mainly sports centric the stories they tell are fantastic pieces on humanity and history. The OJ Simpson one is great as is the one about the Loma Prieta earthquake that delayed the 89 World Series.

I know you aren't a sports fan, but if you were to get this plan, I'd encourage you to at least give the 30 for 30 shows that are on the ESPN+ platform a shot. I think even non-sports fans can enjoy a lot of those films. To me, it's the best thing ESPN has ever done. edit: Just noticed the post above mine.... LOL

LOL Also they do carry some more outlandish stuff I believe in terms of sports. Even though it just happened, they turned one of the ESPN networks into ESPN8: The Ocho from the movie Dodgeball and aired a bunch of weird shit. It was great.

Hmm. This is really tempting. Granted, I already have Netflix, but for an extra 6 bucks, I could use Hulu as well for other shows. ESPN+ I'd probably just use for football.

$8.99 Canadian? I can live with that, I’ll probably check it out at launch.
