Maybe we'll eventually get Deadpool and Logan on there (though for Deadpool 2, I'd prefer the Once Upon a Deadpool PG-13 edit actually). I'm thinking more original content going forward. Stuff like Deadpool 3 (I know they keep saying it'll be R-rated, but the jury's out), continuations of the formerly-Netflix shows, Blade, Ghost Rider, and whatever they're building towards on the supernatural side of the MCU. If they're outright putting TV-MA content on the Disney+ for the sake of Marvel instead of sectioning it away on Hulu/Star, it suggests that if Feige is serious about making Marvel content for a more mature audience then Disney will let him. Honestly, I figure as soon as Disney and NBCUniversal work out a deal over the last 33% Disney doesn’t own they merge Hulu into D+ in the US. And with NBC pulling programming from Hulu for Peacock, I think it’s only a matter of time before they sell off their interest in Hulu

We are doing a sequential watch of all things TDA (first episodes of each, then so on and so forth...)
So I'm at Rescue Rangers #1, as in, the beginning of the actual pilot movie. I knew they remastered the title card at the end of the opening...but did they change the theme song? It's the same one but sounds different. As per the original DVD sets, there does seem to be two versions of the theme, you can tell by the opening riff. But I dunno...it sounded like the same singers in each. I could be misremembering that though.
EDIT: And they changed the end credits (remastered BG and chyron), but same end music...

Want to see the most random Disney+ related news you’ll likely hear this week? Well Robert Carlyle WAS in it, and he was a big part (biggest part?) of one of their live action series.

Here's something that surprised me:
DuckTales has I think 16 audio tracks, and not one of them was Finnish.

Want to see the most random Disney+ related news you’ll likely hear this week? Because when I think Disney, I think male strippers. This will probably end up on Star/Hulu.

Okay, both versions of the theme song are intact, and what I heard above was version 1. So I've gone through the first three parts of the (real) pilot. (this is part of said sequential watching of the original five TDA shows: this, Gummi Bears, DuckTales, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck) Geez, every one of them ends with the Rangers, well, about to die. And Gadget's first appearance brings the Golly count to 2 so far. Yes, I'm going to keep track ;-) Forgot that the first season of GB had a Rocky and Bullwinkle reunion. Between that and Paul Winchell and Lorenzo Music being there, Gummi Bears = the place legendary voice actors go to meet up.

We're in Episode Fours of the original five now.
Four Golly's so far. Four Papa Bear's too. (can't even start with the Little Britches)
Was Plunder and Lightning (TaleSpin pilot) partially edited or not even shown post-9/11? Because Don Karnage and his laser in the last part, and planes flying through buildings and all.

Weirdly some versions of the first intro get the audio track for the second intro. This was also prevalent in the DVD and Blu-Ray releases as well. It's an odd one because you can hear the scene with Dale having the sword fight with Sewernose but it's not the right clip.

So far, all but part four of the pilot miniseries gets the original theme.

In "this is only just now happening?" news.... Internationally, Glee was on Netflix so they were probably waiting for the license to pass before making the move. Likely going to be the case with a lot of Fox shows over the next couple of years.

Likely going to be the case with a lot of Fox shows over the next couple of years. Quite a few countries already have the show on Disney+. This announcement was just for the United States. It used to be on U.S. Netflix but was removed towards the end of last year. Disney is usually pretty good about putting their titles up on Disney+/Hulu as soon as the licensing deal that prevented it expires. A few months ago, there was a Disney movie (I think Herbie: Fully Loaded) that showed up on U.S. Disney+ literally within minutes of it leaving HBO Max.

Glee is still a somewhat watched show so there would still be lingering licenses to sort out and Herbie Fully Loaded…is Herbie Fully Loaded.

I wonder if Netflix ever puts a "no-compete" period in their agreements with the studios so that certain content can't just go to another streaming service one day after Netflix loses access?

It happened a lot with its actual shows, or at least it did with the shows it funded and aired itself, there was the stuff with One Day at a Time after it got axed and they were trying to get a move to CBS and it was probably one of the reason Adult Swim couldn’t get Tuca and Bertie until a bit later after it got cancelled so I’d be surprised if there wasn’t anything like that here to just prevent it going from one service or another right away.
