If this doesn't have a complete library of Disney DTV music videos I swear to God that I will raise hell.

I understand their reasons. But the Crows were present when Dumbo first flew on screen, by giving them the confidence boosting feather. Is the entire scene just removed (going straight to the climax after the pink elephants on parade scene) or will there be some editing magic?

Haven’t read thru thread but this mean marvel studios movies won’t be on Netflix anymore? Or is that a. Contract thing?

Any chance that this service will include the subtitled episodes of Japanese Spider-Man that Marvel had on their website like ten years ago? I was always really sad that I never got to watch more of those.

Is the entire scene just removed (going straight to the climax after the pink elephants on parade scene) or will there be some editing magic? Yeah, this. Geez, even WWE Network keeps Benoit matches and non-PC stuff from the 80s and Attitude Era. And Dumbo was just a shade over an hour as it was. It'll practically be typical TV episode length now if you get rid of that scene. How WOULD they manage this? Cut parts of dialogue? New voices, like they did for the maid in Tom and Jerry? Or just have the movie make no sense? I'd say don't bother showing the movie if not for the fact that it was relevant again now with the Burton film. And get ready for more "Disney to make everything G-to-PG CONFIRMED! Fox is doomed, RIP Deadpool, Family Guy, etc etc" reactions.

Otherwise....um, Stevie Richards gave Dumbo the magic feather?

Yes, once this service is up and running all Marvel movies will be Disney+ exclusives. Agents of SHIELD will likely also pop up on there once it ends after season 7. Netflix apparently have a two-year exclusivity clause in place on the Defenders shows, after which the existing seasons will probably pop up on Hulu, with the small possibility of a revival of one or more shows.

Yeah, it doesn't bother me that they won't have Song of the South on there. I think I saw it maybe once in its entirety, and I didn't think it was that good.
The crows in Dumbo kinda have an important part in the climax of the film. Like others have said, it'd be the horrifying sequence of the Pink Elephants on Parade, and then we'd get to the scene where he's about to fly at the circus, and people would be like, "Wait....wha....how the f*** did we get here?"
I mean, they could probably edit it to make it look like Timothy Mouse came up with the Magic Feather Idea, giving his showmanship and ability to make others believe in his ideas. People would probably still be like, "Where'd he get the feather from?" And it could be, "Well, he just found it."

Maybe...in exchange for allowing them to release the OT theatricals, they should let George Lucas digitally insert Hayden Christensen in a scene where he gives Dumbo the feather, then warns him not to land in any sand or something. They could dub the Vader NO! when Dumbo freefalls just before he flies too. And now I am thinking...they are so worried about the crows, they have overlooked the roustabouts scene, you know, the one with lyrics that literally say "We work all day, we work all night, we don't know how to read or write..." Or did/will they? (Better hide that or they'll get more ideas...) Like I said, if the movie will make no sense, why bother putting it up until you know how to deal with the "situation" properly? Put Dumbo's Circus episodes there for a tide-me-over, if you want to keep cashing in on the Burton movie being out there. Better yet, as someone said, just do what Warner Bros. does and heck, like I also said, even WWE with the Network. I don't condone stereotyping and such, but how often can history be altered before it becomes too much? You can't keep erasing history because parts of it don't hold up at all today. Again, this is the stuff that makes people keep saying things like "Disney is gonna water down everything it owns so it'll all be family friendly, PC, etc. etc.!" And fearing the Fox buyout.

I completely forgot about the roustabouts scene. Good catch there. Granted, the entirety of Dumbo isn't really kids friendly and such. People picking on Dumbo. Clowns getting drunk. Dumbo and Timothy getting drunk, leading to the BLACK-EYED PINK DEMON SPAWN KNOWN AS THE PINK ELEPHANTS ON PARADE?!!! Sorry. That last one still kinda brings nightmares.

Wonder if they do anything to the Native American scene in Peter Pan, that seems like it'd be easier to edit out than the Dumbo crows

I understand things don't age well, but even revisionist history with good intentions is revisionist history. And again, it's looking bad for some of Disney's, um, more racy acquisitions of late.
