It’s just hitting me that the final movie cameo Stan Lee made that was released in his lifetime was Teen Titans Go To The Movies — a DC Movie with the big joke of his appearance being that he doesn’t care he didn’t create any of the characters, he just loves making cameos in movies. I don’t know what that says, but it sure says something. His last cameo was in Venom. (That was released when he was alive... as Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 both have filmed cameos from him)

My favorite Stan Lee cameo will always be the one in Deadpool as a strip club DJ.

My favorite Stan Lee cameo was still Mallrats and his keeping of the ultimate superhero secret: If the Thing's dork is made of orange rock like the rest of his body.

Was never a big comic book fan, but I was always aware. The MCU brought me into the universe and I have gone back to read some of the comic books. He, along with others, have brought everyone so much joy and entertainment. May he rest in peace!

Didn’t get to see that. I sit corrected.

My favorite Stan Lee cameo will always be the one in Deadpool as a strip club DJ. My favorite is Amazing Spider-Man. An oblivious Librarian with headphones on listening to classical music while Spider-Man and Lizard battle in the background behind him.

Jagger and me, we had a running contest to see who had the most. As a matter of fact, last time I looked I was WAY ahead!"

It's just a fun little action/comedy scene and it's really well done. I kinda didn't like the cameos he did that were really ham-fisted. Like Spider-Man 3. Affleck Daredevil had a really good one.

I do wish Ditko got even a fraction of this love worldwide a few months back. I get why, it's just a shame.

RIP Stan Lee.
May your work and legacy continue to live through your twin brother, Bruce Lee.

Ditko did get a lot of love on his death though DC and Marvel both put out a bunch of his art/characters from what I remember. But yeah, Ditko being a recluse shunning the spotlight would do that. Stan became the mascot for Marvel and was always outgoing and putting himself in the public eye. Character created by Steve Ditko on the credits alone aren't going to make you this popular with the non-comic fans.

Right, I know, Stan is pop culture. And honestly his role as carnival barker for comics was probably just as important as anything he wrote. Hell Steve probably wouldn't have wanted the recognition anyway haha.

But cause of Ditko not making public appearances and not doing interviews he isn't as well known. Look at all the news calling Stan the creator of all the Silver Age Marvel stuff. When Stan is just the co creator. Never got to meet Stan. But was lucky enough to meet Jack Kirby about a year before he died. Kirby was sitting at his table with a tiny line while hacks like Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane had huge lines.

Yeah, though if Steve did do more interviews, he'd likely have alienated people further. The man was RIGID in his views. In the letter he wrote back to me, he flat out railed against the UN outta nowhere just as an example.

Hell Steve probably wouldn't have wanted the recognition anyway haha. Steve turned down lots of money to do appearances at cons. If you haven't seen it look on YouTube for Jonatha Ross's Searching for Ditko special. Pretty sure it aired on one of the BBC channels. Ross goings into aol about how Ditko shunned interviews.
