Owed to who in this case? Not full on the loop and bankrupcies cases confuse me. Big thing is probably having to pay their way out of their TV contracts since they can’t fulfill their end of the bargain. Just heard on the Michael Kay Show that the biggest creditors are now the coaches' salaries for what would've been the next few seasons. By declaring bankruptcy, Vince gets out of having to pay them what they're owed.

Not only was it a failure, but he is getting out of paying for all the debts involved. People stay loving Vince McMahon though.
I wonder if all the employees who aren't getting paid during this time, because of the bankruptcy, if they lost their pizzazz for the XFL.
But hey, that's why he kept WWE and Alpha separate. Not Vince's problem those people won't be paid, time to go do live shows during Covid and make that WWE money, and make a a few billion off of Saudi Arabi, Fox, and USA.

Don't really see the need to shit on Vince Shit went left during a pandemic. That's where it ends and begins. They were able to get people NFL jobs thanks to the season and they learned from their mistakes but things didn't work out due to circumstances outside of their control

I loved the XFL but that whole "WWE and the XFL are totally separate entities thing" -
Oh dear.
Wonder if that's what that whole WWE "hey, you're investing in the XFL while pretending you're not" lawsuit was about...
(Edit: I now see it says "Exhibit 1", I guess that's where that's from?)

… so is Vince broke, or is he killing off the XFL and claiming it's bankrupt?

If people haven't figured that out by now, they aren't going to.

… so is Vince broke, or is he killing off the XFL and claiming it's bankrupt? XFL declaring bankruptcy and Vince McMahon declaring personal bankruptcy aren't the same thing. If Vince personally declared bankruptcy he'd have to pay out of his own pocket as much as he could to his creditors. He doesn't have to do this if a corporate entity he owns does the same. It's like if you invest in a company that goes belly up all you lose is your investment.

Between his two attempts to get the brand off the ground, Vince could've called it XXXFL, produced football-themed porn, and still make more money.
