That was a fun season overall. Hope the change/add a few markets next year (or only stay in Vegas if they get a good field to use). Also need to work a bit on recruiting better players offensively but it was a good time.

Good to hear. It looked worse as it was happening.

From what I’ve read, the stadium is permanently closed. The University of Nevada Las Vegas still owns it even though the Rebels now play at Allegiant Stadium, but the school’s deal with the Raiders prohibits any events from being held there. www.fox5vegas.com/2023/01/13/future-sam-boyd-stadium-up-air/#news3lv.com/news/local/sam-boyd-stadium-permanently-closed

They should really relocate the Vegas team. Doesn’t seem like anyone there really cares and they were awful this season

I mean I’m sure that when they decided to buy the XFL they knew it would lose money for the first season or two, so I think that they’re just playing the long game.

It's bad, but it is better than how much Vince McMahon lost in his two XFL attempts

It's bad, but it is better than how much Vince McMahon lost in his two XFL attempts The 2001 version of the XFL lost $70 million, $35 million on WWE's end and $35 million on the NBC side. WWE was doing well enough at the time that they still made a profit that year in spite of the XFL's failure.

There's no way they expected to actually turn a profit in the first year so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

People seem to forget that professional leagues won't make money the first few seasons. As long as they can weather the first few seasons, they should be fine.

I dont like firing coaches after one year unless they are really terrible and Rod wasnt really terrible. I hope there are other reasons for this move, but not entirely a fan.

Depends on if Rock has the patience for it.

Considering it is him and his ex wife/business partner both as owners and his history with football, I dont think he will lose patience with it. Someone would have to make a great offer for him to sell.
