I wonder if the Paramount (former SpikeTV) would have any interest since Dixie and Russo are gone. Not a lot out there I think: USA, SyFy, Bravo, E! and more are owned by NBCU and partnered with WWE "New" FOX is partnered with WWE as well. Discovery Channels, not sure they would want back in with all the rebranding they've been working on (and again, more Dixie stupidity) WGN, AXS, and I guess beIN are options. Maybe get the left over from AEW is that is happening. An unconfirmed floating rumor was they were looking at TruTv. My money says the QVC channel. "We have not only fantastic matches tonight but fantastic deals!" This is the best chance for a Don West return!

Why not just write "Impact To Remain On Pop Forever"? Exactly.

I hope they don’t end up on Bein sports seeing it being removed from my cable system is why I don’t watch mlw I like having the option to not watch Impact but if it suddenly got gooder I’d like to be able to watch it. You can watch MLW each week on YouTube or the FITE App.

Sigh, I wish Dixie never brought Russo back... I can't remember, did she ever explain why she did that? Seems like such a ridiculous decision in hindsight

Sigh, I wish Dixie never brought Russo back... I can't remember, did she ever explain why she did that? Seems like such a ridiculous decision in hindsight It was late in 06, right after they got Angle and BFG 06 happened. She has never responded as to why she hired him back despite Jeff Jarrett getting rid of him in 04, so the following is just me speculating. Vince Russo has a very good talent, according to Bischoff and even Cornette, the first time you meet him, Russo is very charming and you find yourself liking him. Now imagine Dixie liking this guy, and because she had no experience in wrestling or was even a fan, she started believing that he was solely responsible for the Attitude era and that it wasn’t his fault what happened in wcw. Russo also cultivated a relationship with Dixie by emailing her and critiquing the show, an email was even leaked about Russo burying Cornette and Jarrett being on tv, he also started planting the seeds about Dixie being a part of the show. Then one week, Russo convinced Dixie that the reason the company was failing was because the rest of the team, Dutch, Savior Vega, Road Dogg and Cornette, were Jarrett’s guys and didn’t share his vision. Then Dixie fired them and Russo had free reign to do whatever the hell he wanted. Dixie considered Russo her friend and that’s why she kept him around, and even kept him hidden despite Spike TV warning her against it. And how did Russo repaid her? By constantly burying her and calling DA and Pop tv telling them that they got conned by tna.

A mark and carny con artist taking advantage

Third cancellation holy shit. Is there anything lower than pop tv for them to go there? Public access?
Maybe just stream their shows for free on their Twitch channel?

Also, on the subject of Bein, apparently MLW has a clause in their contract that says they can be the only wrestling show on the network. The fact that talks are happening still despite that could mean any number of things. I just hope this doesn't signal the end for MLW, I dig it.
They were lost their top talent to ROH and NXT.

They may as well. This is sad, five years ago they had a steady audience of one million people in a big network, now there’s a chance they’ll be reduced to an internet indy. How we got to this point will be the subject to books and documentaries.

It’s astonishing how we got to this point if you think about it, it’s the cumulative effect of years and years of mistakes.
The reason why I talk about 2006 so much, was because in that year they got Kurt Angle and SPIKE gave them a spot in Primetime, also that year they drew their biggest ppv buyrate ever in Joe vs Angle 1.
You had a major network trusting in your company and wanting to see it grow so much that they agreed to pay Angle and Sting’s salary, the next year you get a video game. What the f*** happened?
Russo? Staying always in Universal Studios therefore never starting a live event business? Their pathetic merchandise? I think it was a combination, they were afraid of success and chose to stay in mediocrity.
Then the Monday Night Massacre happened, and everything went to shit.
AJ left and nothing was the same.
Bad leadership and bad booking got us here. It’s crazy that new japan needed them years ago.
