So I'm doing what I call a 1998 year watch along, where I watch every show and PPV that aired in chronological order. I've done this with a lot years between the WWE network and bootleg DVDs I have collected over the years. So one thing I looked forward to in the 98 was the origin of the Oddities. So I've seen ever piece of footage except there infamous face turn, yes WWE edited out the match between Golga and Marc Mero from the August 3rd, 1998 edition of Raw. It seems WWE has lost their licencing from using the ICP's "The Greatest Show" theme thus dubbing it over with a generic theme, I can understand that, by why edit out that whole match? Any ideas from anyone?

WWE 24/7 was known for random edits on shows for no reason other than laziness like editing out title changes.I’d guess seeing it was summer 98 and Jackie is at ringside her boobs must’ve popped out cause that was a weekly occurrence it was a real short match and the main focus of the segment was debuting the song and having Sable & the oddities dance to it before and after the match and then a cat fight. They May have felt it wasn’t worth doing the edits for such a music heavy segment with a meaningless match but when it aired on 24/7 it had the original music.

Part of the match is on wwe.com yet it isn't on the network last time I checked. Did they add it back?

Strange that I just watched this episode of Raw also and was surprised to see this match cut out.

The match is in the bluray/DVD of the attitude era. Weird...

So that match has on the network become an retroactive Dark Match?
