I think Season 2 gets a bad rep, I liked it about as much as Season 1. Yes, even that episode (if only because it felt like the most X-Men thing anything live action has ever done, including the X-Men movies, and I was ready for the transition into that if that was where the series was headed with it tapping into my inner X-Men fanboy). That said, by the trailers, Season 3 looks like it could have the potential to be the best yet. Really curious about where the show is headed and wondering if this will continue the trend of Netflix shows getting three seasons and then doneso that's plagued so many of their series. The Duffer bros have said their plan is for the show to go 4 or 5 seasons, which feels about right. I think there is enough story to tell without it getting stale or drawn out for about that length of time. With it being a big hit for Netflix I'm sure they'd be happy to keep it going too. Only wrinkle could be the cast, with Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and David Harbour starting to be a little more in demand.

FINAL TRAILER Holy shit that looks incredible. Also looks like the plot revolves around... {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Billy being possessed by the Mind Flayer. I like it a lot. I can't wait for this.

Only wrinkle could be the cast, with Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard and David Harbour starting to be a little more in demand. Those two kids, in particular, are headed to the stratosphere. If Netflix were smart, they'd have tied them to multi-year contracts after season one. Also, try to keep them both away from creepy adults who seem obsessed with sexualising children. Charlie Heaton looked to be going places, and still may if New Mutants ever gets released. I don't know why season two is getting criticised. I thought it was really good, apart from that one episode that no one likes. But even then, you could see why the episode was written - to expand the mythology of the show and open up possibilities for new characters and/or spinoffs. It would have been better worked if they'd alternated between scenes in Chicago and scenes in Hawkins, instead of an entire episode focusing on that alone.

I was really into the first season and flew through it in like two days.
Halfway through season 2 and I don't care at all about anything that's happening. It's become background noise.

I interviewed Chief Hopper aka David Harbour about his approach to Season 3 and his take on the whole Stranger Things phenomenon: goradiomn.com/chazharbour19/
