So, with NJPW wrestlers appearing in Yakuza 6 and Yakuza Kiwami 2, as well as how you can turn Lars into Tanahashi in the latest Tekken 7 update, I was wondering - how many other non-wrestling games feature NJPW talent?

Parody/Homage/Ripoff? A good deal, particularly if you count former NJPW talents.

Similar to the Lars/Tanahashi example, Sengoku Basara 4: Sumeragi had some DLC where certain characters got NJPW outfits (Hideyoshi Toyotomi as Tanahashi, Yukimura Sanada as Okada, etc.).

Not a video game, but: Kazuchika Okada appeared as himself in the popular anime Future Card Buddyfight (kind of today’s Yu-Gi-Oh, basically), and had a card of his released as part of the corresponding trading card game. My boyfriend, who’s a Buddyfight fan, used this as a basis to create him as a fighter in Soul Caliber VI. Does that count?  |

Sort of related to the topic at hand as Tanahashi and his kid appear in a preview video for the latest Kamen Rider video game on the Switch.
This is most likely due to Tanahashi being a big fan of the Rider series' (Even playing the heavy for the villain in one of the recent KR movies a couple years back.)

Sengoku BASARA 4 Sumeragi is for PS4, and the PS4 is region free, so yeah, it's playable. But you'll need a Japanese PSN account to get any DLC.
Also, it's the most text/menu-heavy game in the entire series.
So much so that I hardly ever play it, even as a pretty big Sengoku BASARA fan (SB2 is still one of my all-time favorite games).
