And as predicted it’s the same old shit. It was better than some recent episodes of Raw for sure but the whole structure of the show is entirely the same. I’m guessing the ratings will be up like 2 or 3 percent from last week but not much. And when they see nothing has changed in the coming weeks ratings will continue to fall. You can’t have an out of touch 73 year old man running this show.

It's interesting that they basically acknowledged that things have been bad lately and that ratings have been going down. It's one thing for a wrestler to give a promo but for them to acknowledge is another. The lack of automatic rematch is a nice change, as is the banning of Lucha House Rules. I wonder what if anything this means for Paige if all the McMahons are technically in charge of both shows and they're cutting down on 'middle management'. That said, it could be somewhat interesting if they stay face given that most of that promo was face.
At the same time as others said, it's Malibu Stacy's new hat so we'll see.

This is just how they keep it from Brock getting a rematch when he loses the title.
That's the only reason this is a thing.

The "cutting down middle management" could mean we get less emphasis on authority figures and the Raw/Smackdown GMs become William Regal-style characters who only book matches and are never the centre of angles (arguably Paige is already doing this on SD).

They got a better rating out of this, which is exactly what they wanted. Other than that...

They got a better rating out of this, which is exactly what they wanted. Other than that... And because they got a better rating, they in their eyes are justified to continue the subpar booking.

Posted in the SD thread but thought I'd share this here too from a Raw review: Jeez, combine that with Vince saying something like 'maybe I don't need any of you' to the audience at the start of his promo and it makes you wonder a bit. Admittedly, that may have been Vince heeling it up for old times sake before getting on with things but it's a bit odd in the context of what came next.

I'd almost respect it more if they flat out said: "We have Fox money, f*** y'all." At least that'd be honest. 0:23-0:27 is how I think Vince feels

Show needs a completely new look and feel. I'm not expecting it to look like NXT or evolution necessarily as great as they are but have the people behind the look of those shows who obviously have a bit more vision and get them to do their take on over the top main roster production.
Also change the cameras or do whatever it takes to get rid of the grating motion blur and all the shakiness, the way the show is shot and looks is not pleasent, there are Indies with much lower budgets that produce footage that is much less jarring.

Okay, I am an enormous Brock mark, but this is literally worth that rule change on its own.Brock as a wrestling property is DEAD. We need a show with a world title on it all the time, with a champion who shows up and that the fans want to like. I LOVE Brock, but he's done everything he can except occasionally have good matches and we really, really have plenty of guys that do that already. Plus him being off the roster will free up literally millions of dollars a year.

I didn't watch the show but did those idiot Lucha house party Guys bitched and moan when they got the bad news? I mean no matter what they do they just come off as heels. I'm almost convinced that this was some racist or out-of-touch Management's idea of how to appeal to the Hispanic audience like a Hispanic new day not knowing that they're completely out of touch with how things over there

Plus him being off the roster will free up literally millions of dollars a year. Which is great until you realise the money saved isn't gonna see anybody else on the roster get a pay rise, nor is it gonna be reinvested into production. They can meet the asking price of literally any wrestler in the world if they want to, and already have a roster with more talent than they know what to do with. Creatively, Brock is a millstone around their neck, that's absolutely true. But with the Saudi, USA and Fox money they've got, he's not a financial burden any more.
