Yes it is that time of year, got to buy those presents! Have you been an eager beaver and bought them all in November? Do you just have one or two to go? Are you waiting to do it all on Christmas Eve and wondering if that M&M/Malteaser tree is a good gift for your uncle Joker?

Most of mine is done.
Me and my dad were in a car wreck and have had operations done (spinal fusion for me, muscle-related stuff for him), so Christmas is kinda in the back of everyone's minds right now. I did get presents for some beforehand, but everyone else is getting the cheap end of the stick from me (and likewise for me).

Left it a bit late this year.
In the past I've got it all done in August/September..
This year I got it all done last week.. One of the benefits of having weekdays off is you can go to the shops in none peak hours and avoid the queues.

Nearly done. Still waiting on deliveries to arrive, but I’m about a week ahead of where I normally am at this point, so feeling good.

Heavy lifting is done, but I still have a couple of smaller things to buy.
Fiancée, parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew and fiancée’s parents are taken care of.
I still need something for one of my aunts, a couple of friends and then something for the concierges in my condo.
I tried to spread out the shopping so as to not take a big hit to my wallet at once.

Just realized I still gotta get something for my sorta brother in law. No clue what to get him. So odds are he is getting a Amazon gift card.

All done. I almost always get mine done by the middle of November. I might happen to find something else later and add it in. I prefer to get everything done early. Stores are usually stocked up in November so that helps. I’m also not stressing or struggling to find something acceptable for a gift because I waited until the last minute to shop. Plus I don’t have to deal with crowds. It’s a win all the way around.

I did get presents for some beforehand, but everyone else is getting the cheap end of the stick from me (and likewise for me). Sorry to hear that Man, Rightfully so, Hope you and the old man can at least enjoy Christmas. We're doing better. To correct my original post, my dad is going to visit a surgeon Wednesday to arrange an appointment. He checked out alright when the wreck happened. He'd had a wreck before where he tore a ligament in his shoulder and he said this was the same pain, so he knew something was majorly jacked up. Lo and behold, he had an MRI done and it confirmed he had tendon damage and needed work. My dad will be doing a lot better once he has the work done. He's hoping to get it done before the year's out due to his insurance coverage, there'll be a huge cost difference between him getting it done before the year's out and having to wait. As for me, I'm supposed to have a follow-up appointment Friday. They'll be removing the staples, running x-rays to confirm the bone is healing as it should (they said I'd likely be in immense pain if not, so not to sweat that too much), doing some physical tests (I already tested out of physical therapy, so I'm not sweating that either), and getting a timeline; being able to take care of myself unsupervised, return to work (I actually like my job so I'm anxious to get back), start hitting the treadmill, etc. They said it's been long enough since surgery that any complications (botched work, infection, etc.) would've cropped up by now, and at this point as long as I don't sit on my ass all day and don't push myself too hard, I should be OK.

Just the stocking stuffers and candy left to go. And something for the wife besides oven mitts. (We had a puppy chew up one of our good silicone ones she loved.)
