As far as I know, this is the second time a "What If" scenario became an actual storyline dealy. The first time was "What If...Spiderman's Clone Had Lived?"
I haven't picked up a comic book in months, by the way.

I dont actually read comics, becuase I have no LCS. Like, anywhere. So I buy TPbs, even though I know that writing for TPbs is slowly killing the industry.

Seriously though, could it be at all possible that Castle is the gunman who took out Cap'n? I haven't followed it too closely so I don't know if the shooter was revealed or not. I know it wouldn't make a hell of a lot of sense, but god that'd be a fantastic plot twist. Frank Castle isn't the most stable guy anyway, so y'know, it COULD happen. Maybe. It couldn't happen unless someone cloned Frank Castle. He was at an hostage situation somewhere else. Happened in War Journal #5 (released this week).

On an unrealted note, I wish I had Cap's shield. Ultimate Frisbee would be awesome with it. Because everytime you throw it, someone runs the risk of getting his ass knocked silly by it.

You do know some comic shops allow for pullboxes on the web, sending you the whole shebang by mail? I'll look into it, but damn, I dont even know what I should be reading. The only things I've enjoyed out of Marvel recently are Runaways and Astonishing X-Men, and occasionally New Avengers wasnt bad.

Just the idea of the shield taking out a bunch of hippies just brightened my day. Thanks, Tull. *Secretly sends sketch idea to Seth Green for Robot Chicken*

I actually got to wear Iron Man's helmet. The locla FYE had an open one on clearance sale, and I put it on.
It really makes you feel like a hero, for some reason.

So the Punisher is now Captain America. So... who's the Punisher now? I recommend the unused character from the Spiderman pages, Ace. He is a former gang leader that now works as a sort of vigilante-type security-for-hire. He is (and has been for years) on the run from the law for "kidnapping" his little sister when the state tried to take her away from him. This is a guy that seems to be a borderline mutant. He shorts out Spidey's spider sense, seems to have his own precognitive abilities (like spider sense), and is much faster and more agile than normal humans. If something were to happen to his sister he would probably have the proper mindset to be The Punisher.

You guys, I just got done with Winter Soldier. This forum has been so full of Captain America spoilers lately.
I guess it doesn't matter though, by the time I catch up I'll probably have forgotten about all this anyway.
