Don't forget Gran Turismo Sport launching without a Single Player mode, and only getting one through DLC much later. Wtf?!!! I hate modern games. I've not even got a PS4 after owning so the previous 3 and don't feel like I've missed out. All my favourite series are on decline anyway- Resident Evil (until 7), Tekken, Mass Effect, Metal Gear Solid (I blame Kojima more than Konami), Final Fantasy, Silent Hill and I didn't like GTA's IV or V... Yeah I’m with you on all those except Resident Evil. Remake, RE7 and Remake 2 seem to be breathing life back into the series

Some simplicity would be welcomed.
I think MVP Baseball 04 and 05 were perfect baseball games. Easy to pick up and play, you have a few ways to rearrange difficulty.
Fast forward less than ten years and in order to throw a curveball you need to hold down two buttons, do a 90 degree rotation on the analog control, not 91 degrees, not 89 degrees or the ball gets launched. Make sure you release the buttons right as the ball approaches the plate or it beers off and is a wild pitch.
Haven’t played a baseball game since

I too felt the gaming world pass me by as I got into my 30’s
Complex controls weren’t really the issue, more how many times can I win the Super Bowl in my Madden franchise? How many first person shooters can I play before nothing feels new?
Even the open world sandbox games became too much. I mean I played GTA V but didn’t absorb it like Vice City.
While certain big releases like RDR2 and Spiderman have reignited my playing, Ive found over the years I gravitate to non traditional games and/or video games where there is little required of me to move the story along.
Games like Abzu and No Mans Sky let me just go at my own pace and stop to look at everything. The telltale games are some of my absolute favorites in getting to dictate who the characters are and what the narrative is. Franchises like Life Is Strange and Quantic Dreams’ Heavy Rain and Become Human expound on this concept and execute it far better. I distinctly remember the moment I finished season 1 of LiS and literally put my controller down and got lost in deep thought about the emotional reaction I got out of it. I didn’t play a game for a month after, because I was afraid I wouldnt give a new game a fair shake solely because it wasnt LiS. Starting to feel this way about Become Human currently but I digress.
So what I am trying to say is, as we get older we gotta find different genres and styles of games to keep us interested. Sticking with CoD, Assasins Creed and Madden every year ain’t gonna scratch the itch.

I've always liked the more quirky or arty games like Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Gregory Horror Show and thanks and with the PSN the games they have most wowed me has been the indie games like Flower, Limbo, Fez and Journey. I just love new ideas such is why I adored Portal 2 and 2.
