In fact, if I were Seth and this is the case, I would specifically and publicly ask that the agent responsible for that match never produce my matches or speak to me again. "Hey, agent person! My name is Jerry Lynn, and I never want you to speak to me or my son ever again, especially since you clearly don't like DEATH METALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!"

The fact they can "lose faith" in guys for bombing a match that was pretty much set up to fail like he hasn't impressed so many times before speaks to how fickle and insane management is. I absolutely think Finn should be an important part of the show but if he's only getting it because he's the new flavour of the month after Seth had a bad outing then it's not something I can get too excited about, just because how long is it until they book Finn into a shitty situation where he's given a match that's intentionally held back but sandwiched between to absolutely brilliant matches? How long until they book him in a match they probably shouldn't, he puts on a middling but not necessarily atrocious showing, and they decide he's not worth a top spot anymore? Creative and the agents are to blame for that match way more than the dudes in the ring are and it's the same old song and dance that leaves even words like "Finn Balor to be pushed soon" feeling kind of hollow and hopeless. "It's Creative's fault!" has been the mantra for at least the last seven years, if not far longer. Of course, when we say Creative, we really mean Vince since he's the one who finalizes everything we see. But he knows, or ought to know after some fifty-odd years in the biz, that we fans should not be talking about the writing or the booking, but about the talents and what they're doing in the ring or in their promos. What Vince has done, ever since that speech he gave in 1997, has pulled back the curtain and placed the spotlight, and fans' attention, on what the writing team is putting out in front of us, rather than allowing us to suspend our disbelief and get invested, really invested, in what we're supposed to be seeing out in the arena. It speaks volumes that the talent, for the most part, has somehow still managed to transcend that distraction so that, no matter what kinds of garbage they're stuck in, they're able to polish it and continue to keep the ship afloat.

The whole "They don't like Seth now because he had one bad match" thing amuses me whether it's true or not. God bless Roman Reigns, but he stunk up the joint and lost crowd interest in how many of his matches? And that didn't stop them with him. I can forgive Seth and Dean for one boring match and this feud, they've killed it enough over the years for me.

I agree that it's kinda hilarious that it's even believable regardless of whether it's true.

I wish Meltzer really wrote headlines like that I saw him use the phrase "take the L" on Twitter once and that in itself was a moment in time for me.

Honestly if WWE doesnt want a guy they will just use any excuse. Like when Brad Maddox(Rememebr him?) use the work prick I think in a promo, and that was enough to get fired as the reason.
Yeh no,WWE didnt want Maddox and just needed an excuse for thenselves.

I'm thinking that since Seth is still given the top babyface role on the show that the stories of Vince souring on him have been overblown. Them taking the extraordinary step of having Seth apologize for the match is probably a sign that they are still going ahead with him.
In regards to Finn, I think facing Ambrose for the IC title would be the best option. I would be really interested to see if Dean's new heel persona will be better served with an opponent who isn't Seth.

Brad Brabbox got lost in a cave and when he finally gets out, they'll have no choice but to reinstate him as GM.
