Wrestling is all about risks even a simple normal bump can kill you like what happened to Perro Aguayo or others. It’s impossible to not have an accident, that being said if you’re gonna kill your self at least get paid, this kid probably got CTE for nothing.

Joey Ryan and Kenny Omega don't trip over themselves trying to beg for his favor, for example, it'd be both a waste of time and damaging to their credibility with their fans.

I'm sure he will take this little bit of fame with him and maybe even try to keep it going but to me, the meme with the couple pointing to the "old timers" screams of the Jim Ross quote "go ahead kid, make a name for yourself." He might, but it will be for negative reasons and consequences. I'd much rather watch a Disco Inferno match because it is sports and entertainment together than an indy youngster destroying his body or his opponents because ultimately he doesn't have that "it factor."

As abrasive as Cornette's criticism is, the entire basis of his argument is don't do stupid spots that will probably injure you, your opponent, or both even if you pull it off correctly, and especially don't do it at some Podunk indie show with little to no safety precautions for $50.

That's a world of difference from hating on Omega for wrestling and selling for a kid and hating Ryan's dick-related comedy spots. Those two are quite right to tell Cornette to f*** off, while Phoenix just looks like an idiot for not at least acknowledging that behind the vitriol Cornette has a point.

I definitely agree. There's no reason for spots like this to be done, especially without padding on the outside of the ring, and a move which surrenders so much of the wrestler's ability to see where they're going. I'm more just pointing out that there are professional reasons, along with stupid pride, that probably contribute to the defiance.
