Unoriginal song titles and lyrics.
OK if it’s broad like “Love Me” or something .. but there should not be two completely different songs called “God Is A DJ” Pink... Faithless beat you to that title girl!
As for lyrics “Eye of the Tiger”!? Are you serious Katy Perry!?

Artists feeding their own ego. A.k.a singing about how great they are..Kid Rock is an example of this.. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with a bit of self confidence but it gets very tiresome after a while. Just because it rhymes doesn't mean it belongs in a song..Let me give you an example. "I don't want to see a Ghost, It's the sight that I fear most, I'd rather have a piece of Toast". You what?..and since when was eating Toast such a Daring and scary thing to do? Trust me I probably have loads more but my mind draws a blank when asked >.< RE Ghost/Toast. It's the single worst lyric ever. However I don't think it's meant to be scary. It's meant to be a mundane, comforting thing in contrast to the apparent terror of seeing a ghost. Oh and they're not very active anymore but everyone on twitter should follow News by Des'ree twitter.com/thenewsbydes/status/988319560385343490?s=19

Without naming anything too broad like artists or genres, I will say one specific thing that bugs me. And that is when artists seem to glamorize drug usage, specifically with pills and whatnot.
Oh, and another thing I dislike is when people are super close-minded about other genres. Like I'm primarily a punk rock and metal fan, but I can enjoy plenty of hiphop and some pop music. I get it's not for everyone, but just because you don't like it means it is necessarily bad, as it is all a matter of personal opinion.
Or people who think all new music is terrible. It's alot like wrestling, actually. People just see the mainstream stuff and go "wow this really sucks, that means all new music sucks" but they don't seek out anything else current.

I've noticed a lot of pop songs doing this during the chorus of a song....
"HEY!"
I love Run Away With Me by Carly Rae Jepsen but I find myself hearing this in more and more songs.

Unless you're doing your songs differently or otherwise are justifying it, live albums tend to suck or be glorified Best Of compilations. "Bad audio where I can barely hear the singer? Sign me up!"
Along those same lines, covers where you're not transforming it or honoring the spirit of the original.
In other words, do not cover Hallelujah unless you've got something new for us. And you don't, so don't cover Hallelujah.
Lastly, if it takes you 15 minutes to get to the end of the Star Spangled Banner, you're a lot more in love with your voice than the audience is. It's one of a legion of reasons "America The Beautiful" would be a much better anthem. It's less open to abuse by people who are up their own ass with their vocal gymnastics.

I really don't like it when people give trash artists and trash song credit because the artist writes their own song or plays an instrument. I've tried and fail to do both, but if a song is trash, your song is trash.

Rock in Rio for me is the exception to the live album rule. The songs all sound great and the sound of the audience adds to the album. Especially Fear of the Dark. Hearing 80,000 people singing along just makes it sound even better.

When bands put out albums for 30 years, but they only play the hits from their first 12 years with no new material they made for 30 years after. Even worse if they have a new singer but he never gets to play the songs he wrote with the band for 30 years...aka Jason Scheff in Chicago. Wrote and sang on 30 years of Chicago albums but at the live shows, he only sings the Cetera era songs live.

I hate the close-mindedness of heavy metal as a whole. The claim that a band isn't really metal if they have "clean" vocals is one of the dumbest opinions. If Black Sabbath came along today, most would shit all over them.
Sticking with vocals, I loathe the vocal style that 99.9% indie bands use.

Random rap song in the middle of a nice Pop Song a.k.a how to ruin a song. I have a similar pet peeve. The fact that some radio stations have to edit out a rap verse of a song that includes such things.

When the radio edit cuts out verses or changes lyrics for seemingly no reason.
Example of my first point: The radio edit of "Blaze of Glory" by Jon Bon Jovi that I've heard cuts out the entire verse starting with "when you're brought into this world". The only reasons I can think of are A. the reference to Cain and Abel, which isn't really all that offensive compared to some of the other stuff they play freely, or B. to cut down run time, which still doesn't work when you have songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" playing in their entirety.
Example of second point: the radio edit of "Toes" by the Zac Brown Band changes the line "someone do me a favour and pass me the Jager" to "pour me some Jager". Likewise, "Johnny Cash" by Jason Aldean changes the line where Aldean says "screw you" to his boss to something like "I'm outta here". Neither example is really offensive enough to justify changing the lyrics.

White Rappers....unless one has exceptional talent (and I would say there have been only 4-5 really good/exceptional white rappers), one shouldn't be doing it. I miss the day when any REAL rapper would rightfully clown these wank asses off the stage. White rappers contribute to the watering down/defanging of hip hop, and it's sad how this has just become accepted by everyone.
Country "Rappers".....take what I said above and multiply it by a million for this shit, especially when the people buying up most of this crap, more often than not, are the same type of people who have the "Stars N' Bars" flying proudly somewhere on their property.

I think the weirdest one I’ve heard was an adult contemporary station eliminating all traces of Supercat from Sugar Ray’s “Fly.” It just sounded so odd.

Music is subjective! I'm just as guilty as anyone but telling someone their taste in music is terrible really is ignorance. Plus, given a chance and searching a bit, pretty much everyone can find a few songs in every genre they like at least a bit.

I don't think I've ever heard this, and I've been browsing Metal forums since I was in middle school. Maybe you see it in silly YouTube comments or something? Because Power, Trad, Prog, Speed, Stoner, a lot of Thrash, Doom, and Gothic.. Predominantly clean vocals.
