comicbook.com/movies/2018/12/21/dr-seuss-wife-audrey-geisel-dies-age-97/As it says there, Audrey Geisel, Dr. Seuss's widow, has passed away at the age of 97. After Cat in the Hat she nixed any Live Action adaptations of her Husband's work... and was an EP on the 3 cg movies that came out. 97 is a good age for anyone to live so it is not tragic... but still a bit sad as she was a big champion of child literacy.

I can only imagine how awful he must have felt after seeing that live action Cat In The Hat abomination. I'm glad she put her foot down about them ever doing that kind of thing again.

Can't blame her for vetoing any subsequent live action adaptions. That might be the single worst adaption of a children's book I've ever seen.
RIP ma'am.

One of the things I've always been very glad about is how active she was in making sure her husband's work was adapted with care and respect. Rest in peace, ma'am.

I had a macroeconomic professor in college named Dr. Soos. ☺
But the author is a legend.
