I haven't watched it yet but the fact this is movie length and he's been talking on Twitter about how it takes a hard turn into horrifying has had me very eager to see this one. Probably turn it on in a minute.

Just watched the whole thing, and man. Great video, but the subject matter was disturbing and frightening on so many levels. Some of those videos the subject posted were like things you’d see a serial killer post.

Well this was sad. It went from a story about an egomaniac upset that the perceived greatness of his creation wasn't being appreciated, to a story about a racist and homophobic troll clogging up the internet with his conspiracy theories and Messiah Complex, to a cautionary tale of mental illness and what it can lead to if not treated. What disturbed me the most was the way he would giggle during those pseudo-"Let's Play's" for his Bible games when talking about people dying. It was like he was doing everything possible to hold back saying "yeah, they deserved it".

I mean he's unwell and that doesn't excuse his actions and stuff... but the people going out of there way to provoke the guy the hell is wrong with people...
Dude needed serious help and then 4chan and the like used that to basically trigger his psychosis for the lols... and it ended with him living in his van and eventually likely committing suicide..
I'm not saying 4chan made him get off his meds... but feeding his delusions couldn't have helped his mental state at all.

I've never heard of the person involved, nor the drama, but if this is like the Sonichu one, ugh, big pass. I left that one despising the cabal of internet bullies that ruined someone's life knowing full well there was something wrong with him, but kept on poking and abusing him 'for the lols'. Someone should have been prosecuted for that campaign of terror, it was inexcusable.

Sad reminder that most of the internet isn't as kind as this board

Great episode as always. You go from thinking the guy is a harmless fool to seeing he's got some awful views but in the end the only thing you can feel for him is empathy. And man, f*** 4chan lol.

Finally gave this a watch (gotta start the year on an uplifting note!) and as everyone has said, that was disturbing and depressing. And yeah, leave it to the worst elements of 4chan to come across as creepier and more unhinged than the genuinely schizophrenic person with racist and homophobic views. However, I don't think that should absolve him of his hatred and aggressivity; I feel people tend to be a bit too quick to excuse awful behaviour because of other people's equally awful behaviour. One still has to take responsibility for their own actions. Just because you're a victim doesn't mean you're not also a villain.
What always gets me with this sort of people is the brief flashes of lucidity, if not downright brilliance they often have to be. There are times he seems to realize his beliefs make no sense, and stuff like his story about the bird watching code was honestly very profound IMO. And of course, there's the fact he was a genuinely gifted coder and programmer. But then he'd follow that up with slur-ridden rants about the CIA, insult people for no good reason, giggle about "really punishing" children for "idolatry" and brag about committing murders, the only upside to that last part being that he probably made it up.

It was just awful people all around. Yeh the guy clearly had mental problems and people will keep messing with him for that. But I dont think he was a good person.
