They all sucked before Fast Five. Tooth Fairy almost killed his career. He had a disney deal tho which was in place because he wanted his daughter to see his movies and Gridiron Gang was pretty good And he admits the Disney deal almost killed his career. He had to come crawling back to the wwe before that, then the stars aligned and Fast Five became a major major hit.

Not too many I have disliked, but then I haven’t seen the Tooth Fairy or Doom. Of the relatively recent ones I really liked Central Intelligence and Jumanji (which I expected to hate).

Nah by then he was already back on action hero mode and going back to shit that would put him on the map. He had the cameo with Sam Jackson in The Other Guys and he has his own movie in Faster which was good and what people wanted from him. Once he did he was good, of course no one could predict he'd the top action star in Hollywood

The other guys was good but unfortunately nothing came up for Rock after that. Faster was forgotten about as soon as it came out. If it wasn’t for Fast Five he wouldn’t be the megastar potential presidential candidate that he’s now. Fast Five saved his career and Rock also saved the Fast and the Furious franchise from being a joke.

I’ve willingly only watched one, and that was Moana which I liked.
That one where he’s a football player with a daughter was on in the lobby when I had jury duty once, and that was trash.
His action flicks have zero appeal to me.

He injected feul into both struggling franchises. It definitely took Rocky some time to find his footing in Hollywood and I think timing was a big reason for that.

Those two and the Journey sequel made him into the franchises savior. Now he has so many ventures, the f***ing clothing line with Under Armour is just as popular as Steph Curry’s one is. Seven Bucks productions is quickly becoming a player. His ex and partner Danny Garcia is also becoming a major agent, she represents Henry Cavill amongst others. Seven bucks productions landed the Shazam property and if that turns into a box office success, Rock could get way way way richer than he already is.

Yeah, every now and then I randomly remind myself he’s Black Adam.

Doom is one of the trashest trash heaps to ever be covered in trash. Hmmph! Looks like you and me are going to have some serious words over this. How about meeting at the big tree after school is over?

Am I the only one who liked The Scorpion King? I liked it. Decent sword and sorcery flick. Not what Conan the Barbarian was to Schwarzenegger but not a bad 1st outing as a lead.

That I've seen, I definitely consider Baywatch as the worst. Other than that, I've enjoyed the hell out of the others- The Other Guys, Central Intelligence, GI Joe II, The Rundown, and especially Rampage and Doom. Jumanji was a surprise hit with me, I did NOT expect it to be that good, I might rate that one the best.

I think the only movie of Rock's I've ever seen was San Andreas. I remember thinking how weird it was seeing The Rock acting in a movie...even though he's been doing this since The Scorpion King days nearly 20 years ago now, haha.

Southland Tales. I don't care, I f***ing love this movie, and I will stand by that.
All the rest from the Disney-esque schlock to cut and paste action crap.
