Mine was amazing. After several meh to downright terrible years this was the year where things clicked: -Got a temp job at a museum (an old stone house with 350+ years of history) and turned that into a permament part time job working at my county's archives. I recently discovered that Queen Anne actually visited the city I'm in! -Adopted a cat. Having a companion around the house and someone to come home to has brightened my life tremendously.

Very mixed bag. Seems like all the good stuff got better, but all the bad stuff got worse. - I got more financially stable throughout the year. I'm on the path to paying off all my credit card balances. - My employer got way worse, but that's not a bad thing, that's a good thing, since I'll be missing it even less just in case I depart (or get departed) from it any time soon. Especially considering I now have another option for where I would apply next for employment just in case. A much better job in pretty much every way, so as for my current job, it's basically a 'till the wheels fall off' situation. Get all the good stuff and money I can milk from that cow, then I won't cry when/if I go. - Bad stuff, my elderly parents slowly but surely get more and more senile and harder to live with. I'm almost tempted to ghost my entire family if I ever with a jackpot lottery. - Also, a death in the family happened in January of this year, pretty much f***ed up my sister's entire year (as well as ours by proxy).

Lost my grandpa back in January.
Spent February to May in jail(which i'd do again)for beating my cousins Bf's ass cause he broke her ribs/jaw.
This year marked my 12th year with the same Heating & Air company.
Got married.
Happy home life.
Got back into playing Guitar,Working out and MMA.
Positives outweigh the Negatives.

Very mixed, but it seemed that the final third or quarter got better. I got fired from my job back in May, though I have mixed feelings in that I got what I kind of deserved, though in some ways I felt that the way it was handled was just terrible and it makes me question the way things work in some places (It felt out of nowhere, too). Then there was another perspective because I got into that predicament because of some snakes and rats in the workplace. I fell into some depression this past summer because of it, but I worked through the depression by pushing myself to go out and do things and get back into other things. I got back into writing, whether it's with blogging, journalism, and fictional (Including fanfiction). I also went back to school to take photography classes and started getting back into photography. I took classes on portraiture and wedding photography, as well as one on studio lighting. After taking classes, I started to get over all the issues and depression that I went through, enough that I started to see that maybe getting fired was a sign that maybe I needed a new start.

Pretty mixed. Had a heavy bout with depression over the fall. Mostly over that. Got a new gig as a PBM and I'm hoping it works out. Medicare Part D is a f***ing bitch.

Personally? Pretty good. I’m a year sober on January 2nd after trying to drink myself to death in 2016-2017. Got back into running and doing 5+ miles every day at age 30.
My grandmothers dementia is getting worse and worse. But my mother is still doing pretty good in terms of her dialysis.
Im very appreciative for 2018.

Your former place of employment sounds like my current place of employment. Very poisonous, poorly run on many levels (because it's a big department store chain, our actual store has like 100 underling workers and 13 managers and assistant managers, then there are district managers, up to the corporate headquarters office where the 2 biggest bosses work. Many of those levels are questionably run.)

S'alright. Still enjoying my job, took my first real vacation in years, finally got some good dental insurance so I was able to get my teeth worked on which I've been needing for a few years now. Can't really think of anything terrible to complain about other than the fact that I still don't feel any closer to finishing any of my novels than I was at the beginning of the year. Maybe next year, though....

Business as usual, really. Some awful f***ing shit, some good and some proper good.
Took my mate to a mental ward, my old roommate killed himself, the tour we was supposed to be a part of never happened and had to take upon a day job for awhile. But after that, I got myself a nice gig to compose a musical score for this one nice project and also my band was booked for another tour. Also recorded some solo shit - on others' expenses - so in the perspective it's now alright.
Though the need to light up another candle candle on the graveyard is really a downer. Especially in this case.

A mixed bag. Some good things have happened and some really really bad things have happened. On one hand I have a renewed interest in retro gaming and still have a job.
On the other hand, I aslo got beaten and nearly mugged, and my brother's car got stolen.

January through May was rough. I had a metal breakdown last summer and slow meltdown until April. I ended up on antidepressants.
June through November was great. I was working at a “dream job” and actually enjoyed going to work.
In late-November the dream job fell apart and I had to go crawling back to my old crew, but as a nobody. My heart was ripped from my chest. I’ve been passed around like meat since then. Thank god for the drugs.
So yeah, all my problems are work related.
My personal life is great. I went to tons of concerts, listened to some great music and everyone is healthy.

Mixed bag. Still haven’t landed a permanent job and am skimming by. Have had to draw a lot of money out of savings, feeling bleak about my chances of ever retiring. But also had some fun experiences I could not have had if I was still in my old job, on those hours; got to do a bunch of tv and movie work, fulfilled a longtime dream and played Igor in Young Frakenstein, was actually a featured zombie in a haunted house, and finally made up my mind to go through with another dream and take a vacation to New Orleans next year. Some possibilities for a permanent job on the horizon after the new year, and planning on updating my acting materials to focus on trying to start getting actually featured work. Here is hoping.

Not bad..
Remaind steadily employed.
Had a nice trip to Hong Kong.
Nothing really bad happened this year for me.. except having to move house again after the owner of the last decided to sell the previous one after we had been it for only one lease period.

Came home to a home invasion in January.
My elderly mother, who I had been the in-home caretaker of for the previous six years, suffered a stroke and passed away.
The main site spent months in limbo due to the web hosts being morons.
Was set to take a promotion at work and the day before I officially took the position, our PNL came in and corporate un-existed the position.
Spent five months and thousands of dollars in a move from hell.
Wrecked my vehicle.
I found out I have a half-brother I never knew about somewhere out there with no real way to find him and a lot of other fun facts about my family's history that I don't want to go into here.
Accidentally OD'ed on mislabled medication, ending up in the back of an ambulance.
In a big legal battle with former apartment complex over money.
Feds took my entire $1200 tax return for a student loan that defaulted in the middle of all of this.
My sister's gone off the deep end in her mid-life crisis, divorcing her husband of 25+ years, marrying a truck driver she barely knew when she was 12, and went hardcore racist on her social media.

I took a teaching job at a school that I've grown to hate. The school is like a prison and the principal is a grade A sociopath. I'm leaving in May, so it's not hopeless, but holy hell was taking the job a massive mistake. As silly as it sounds, the job is so miserable that it has ruined the entire year. I'm looking forward to 2019 and getting away from that place.
