I’d put Emma Thompson/Alan Rickman at the top. It’s not my favourite storyline and it’s far from the happiest part but Emma Thompson’s acting where she goes upstairs and cries whilst listening to Joni Mitchell and then pulls herself together to put on a brave face for the kids is one of the best acting moments I’ve ever seen. There are a lot of issues with Love Actually, Emma Thompson is not one of them. In a film that contains one of the most talented cast lists ever, she’s head and shoulders above everyone else.

Yeah to be honest if we were ranking the best I would put this story at the top and then not rank the others.
