Ring of Honor “Glory by Honor XIV”
October 24th, 2015
From the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum in Dayton, Ohio
Commentators: Kevin Kelly and BJ Whitmer
Silas Young and the Beer City Bruiser arrive at the venue. They take the Boys out if their trunk so they (the Boys) can carry their luggage.
Ray Lynn vs. Kelly Klein w/BJ Whitmer
This was a less than a minute squash. That’s honestly how most Kelly Klein matches at this point should have gone. Ray Lynn was terrible but I think that was her job tonight.
Winner: Kelly Klein
BJ Whitmer grabs the mic and introduces the crowd to Kelly Klein (this was her debut match).
[I'm not sure how either of those segments ended up on the main video. I haven't seen a Ring of Honor show start with a segment in the parking lot since the earliest shows]
Tonight: Champions verses All-Stars
Adam Cole vs. Will Ferrara
I just can’t get used to Will Ferrara being booked seriously. The unfortunate thing is once the guy got some steam behind him he played the “David” role well.
Winner: Adam Cole
Silas Young and the Beer City Bruiser come out for their match with the All-Night Express but they decide to give the Boys a chance to prove they’re men and sit out the match so the Boys can wrestle. They join Kevin Kelly and BJ Whitmer.
The Boys/Silas Young & the Beer City Bruiser vs. All-Night Express
The Boys lasted a minute or two into this match before Silas had had enough of them and decided himself and the Bruiser were gonna handle the match themselves.
Winners: the All-Night Express
Samson Walker vs. Caprice Coleman
I say this every time he has a match in Ring of Honor but I really like Samson Walker and wish he’d be around more often. This was one of those matches that half the crowd probably went to the bathroom and the other half that stuck around were really glad they did.
Winner: Caprice Coleman
BJ Whitmer exits the commentary table and Prince Nana takes his place.
Bobby Cruise brings Steve Corino out be guest ring announcer.
Donovan Dijak w/Truth Martini and Taeler Hendrix’s breasts vs. Michael Elgin
This was a really good power match but it I don’t know if it was good enough to go on as long as it did.
Winner: Michael Elgin
Adam Cole t-shirt ad.
Prince Nana exits the commentary booth and Ian Riccaboni takes his place.
Shaheem Ali vs. Joey Daddiego w/Truth Martini and Taeler Hendrix’s breasts
This was okay but I’m not sure it was main card worthy. Joey Daddiego always has this weird look in his eyes. He never looks at the camera and there was a part towards the beginning of this match where he was supposed to be going nose-to-nose with Ali (which was hard because he's at least a foot shorter) and he couldn't look him in the eyes.
Winner: Joey Daddiego
4 Corners Survival Match
Adam Page w/BJ Whitmer and Colby Corino vs. Cliff Compton vs. Cedric Alexander w/Veda Scott vs. “Brutal” Bob Evans w/Tim Hughes
This didn’t last long.
Winner: Cliff Compton
War Machine vs. the Briscoes
This was a good match.
Winners: the Briscoes
AJ Styles takes Ian Riccaboni place at the commentary table.
Champions vs. All-Stars
Champions (Jay Lethal, Roderick Strong and the Kingdom) w/Maria Kanellis, Adam Cole, Truth Martini and Taeler Hendrix’s breasts vs. All-Stars (Moose, Dalton Castle and the Addiction) w/Stokely Hathaway
As expected this was a very long match. Nothing particular stuck out aside from AJ Styles early reactions to Dalton Castle. AJ Styles was supposed to wrestle in this match but he got injured a week or two earlier. Dalton Castle was subbing for someone too but I can’t remember who.
Winners: Champions
Afterwards AJ Styles gets in the ring and raises Roderick Strongs hand but isn’t too happy to raise Jay Lethals (they met at Final Battle that year)

There were a lot of guys on this show that have since exited Ring of Honor to bigger and better things (depending on how you look at it) but there were a lot of guys on this show who have also left that people have forgotten that I miss having around. I miss Samson Walker, Cliff Compton, “Brutal” Bob Evans and Tim Hughes. They were never going to be top card guys and none of them are likely to make the jump to NXT like some of the others but I miss undercard guys like them and would love to see any of them back into Ring of Honor.
Good show overall. I liked the DVD bonus feature with Matt Taven. Usually I don’t watch those things but I had to see what that was all about and it was one of those spontaneous things that happen at non-televised events that make them special.
