Yeah the Deathmatch guys being stand up people seems to hold up. Apparently Necro butcher was pretty great to fans too. When Jun Kasai was in the US he described the deathmatch wrestlers as "honest gentlemen" except The Wifebeater who he said was an actual crazy person

Krimsynn Matthews is one of the most wholesome indie worker out there. Sadly he retired recently. He was nice to everyone. And even when certain promoters screwed him he wouldn't talk crap on them. Many times after shows he would treat rookies out to a meal.
Mathew Tremont is actually the world's nicest person
I've heard something similar about Nick Gage of all people (pretty sure this was pre-armed robbery, though). I saw a theory that so many of the deathmatch style guys (Tremont, Gage, Thumbtack Jack, etc.) tend to be nice guys outside of the ring because deathmatches require so much coordination to pull off well and not legit kill each other, you really have to be able to trust the other guy in the ring, and deathmatch wrestlers understand that.
I can vouche for Gage. That guy treats his fans like family and even people that dislike his style he sits down and asks the fans what they didnt like about his match and will try to win their respect next time. His in ring persona is completely different from his real life self

Only complaint ive ever head about Nick is he gets too amped up and 8n character occasionally and he can get wreckless but that also may have been younger Nicky teaming with his brother... who is in fact a prick. Theres also the Chris Hero incident where he beat the shit out of Hero because Super Dragon didnt want to work with the H8 Club but again that may just be young Nick.
Hes in WWE now but I defy you to find me one person who has a negative thing to say about Drake Younger
