There is no way they intended for that to be funny at all but damn I laughed my ass off because that even in a bubble makes no sense.
Vince wants a darker AJ?...why?
Ya know what would have been better WWE...if ya had BUILT UP to that moment...idk have Vince actually interact with AJ before hand and plant the moment in peoples heads earlier that Vince does want something out of AJ...and then we get this scene.
Some say writing this is hard.....not really

- This was the 3rd time that Smackdown aired on Christmas, with the other 2 times in 2003 & 2009
- Mustafa Ali VS Andrade Almas was Ali’s 1st Smackdown opener since December 11, Almas’ 1st opener since November 6, & the 2nd week in a row someone went from the Smackdown main event to the following week’s opener
- Gallows & Anderson & The Usos VS Cesaro & Sheamus & SAnitY was the 5th 8-Person Tag Team Match of 2018, the 1st since Starrcade on November 25, & the 1st on Smackdown since April 3, Killian Dain’s 1st match overall since Survivor Series on November 19 & his 1st match on Smackdown since he & Eric Young lost to Rusev Day in a Triple Threat Match on Smackdown on September 4, Alexander Wolfe’s 1st Smackdown match & match overall since SAnitY lost to The New Day on Smackdown on August 14, & The Usos are the only wrestlers to compete on both the 1st & last Smackdown on 2018
- Jeff Hardy VS Samoa Joe was their 3rd re-match, & was the 63rd Disqualification of 2018, the 2nd night in a row after Raw, & the 1st on Smackdown since December 11
