I was thinking of a Rumble match for Xmas day but I doubt anyone would be interested in the cheesy characters of the 90s as they remembered me watching those as a kid. Which Rumble of the 2000/2010s would be best suited?

Good match. What made you pick it though?

2001 because of the drama with HHH taking Austin out of it, only for Austin to come back a bloody mess and win it. Plus weapons.

Mostly just that it had a bunch of great moments. The returns of Mr. Perfect and Goldust, Maven eliminating Undertaker, the Hardys and Lita trying to stomp the shit out of Taker, I just think it was one of the most well put-together Rumble Matches, right up there with 1992, if you're wanting to show someone how good the Rumble can be.

The one everyone hates, 2014? Just for your family to see what an entire crowd turning on a show is like.

I know you said non-'90s, but I just can't imagine even a non-fan not getting a kick out of Heenan's performance at the 1992 Rumble.

2002 is my favourite, but I watched it with a very casual fan once and they loved it. Nearly everyone gets a bit of the spotlight, the focus on 3 or 4 people per segment allows a lot of in ring fluidity, Taker kicking ass then jobbing out to Maven is actualy even more shocking now than in 2002, and the final stretch is just big names all the way.
And Mr Perfect looks great.
Also, some creative eliminations: Kane bodyslamming Show, the Hurricane spot, Lance Storm and Al Snow, and the Stone Cold Stunner of death.
Jeff Hardy's elimination is also very funny.

I won't mention the 00 and 01 rumbles because they're both extremely 90s. (yet both awesome).
2002 is fun because to me it feels like a soft reboot of sorts back to 2000. Face Stone Cold, Triple H, RVD, DDP, all these guys the fans want to cheer for. The returns of Goldust, Val Venis, Godfather and Mr Perfect along with some decent spots from Undertaker, Maven, Hurricane and Angle it's as good as any non 90s Rumble.
2005 is one of my favourites because I got the DVD during a dry spell of wrestling and watched it a lot.
2008 is another seriously good Rumble. Tied between 01/08 for best of the decade.

That one where Hogan and Warrior first battled, I think it was 1989.

Hasn't been mentioned here yet but I seriously love 07. Best final two ever and a lot of fun throughout.

2001
It's pretty much broken into segments making it easy to follow, it has comedy, hardcore spots a ton of legends, one of the best iron man performances from Kane.

2001, but if that's unfair, 2008. Even non-fans will understand the significance of Piper/Snuka

2011 because our hero ADR won the match!!! Ok don't watch that 1, but remember how over Santino was and the thought that he won the rumble. Santino was on fire at that time
