The way Vince was lying there on the floor smiling made me think he was about to.... um... make a mess in his pants.

.... how do I not remember reading this in the spoiler thread?! I'm guessing this was filmed post-production, as I don't remember reading this in the spoiler thread either. Still it was damn interesting and hopefully it doesn't lead to AJ vs. Shane again, even if I thought their first match was pretty good.

Oh, we're falling for this again are we?
It's so frustrating how Vince can just show up, have a segment where someone decks him and everyone forgets that the McMahons being all over the show at the expense of unused talent is a major problem with the WWE. This didn't work for Owens, and AJ doesn't need it either.

This didn't work for Owens, and AJ doesn't need it either. It’s probably in part because of how good the crazy, old son-of-a-bitch is at these kind of segments. Even at 73. And lookin slightly like a well prosthetic-applied walking dead extra, he still cuts these promos better the majority of the young wrestlers on the roster. And at the very least, at least it would seem they have something planned for AJ.

I feel like people just have crazy rose tinted glasses just because they grew up with him.

I wasn’t even a huge fan on the segment itself but can acknowledge Vince can deliver this kind of material. Hell he was more believable than AJ within the same segment. That’s all.

(Promo wise, he is still senile)

The Owens/Vince angle was a good one, it's just that the result was the Owens/Zayn vs. Shane feud that basically killed the careers of both Owens and Zayn. And that was before they got sent packing to Raw to be utterly buried by Strowman and Lashley.

I don't care what anyone says, I love seeing Vince on-screen. It's not like he's doing the higher power angle or wrestling HBK and God, anymore. He made AJ look important by doing an angle with him.

Jesus, Vince is old....
.....
.....ok....
.....
.....that was a hard pat on the side of AJ's neck.
.....
.....wow, that's a shot from AJ.
.....
.....
.....I don't think Vince was smiling, his face just looks really old and horrid.

OK, I need context here. How does Styles go from respectful brand-carrying babyface to “I’M-A PUNCH AN OLD MAN IN THE FACE” in the space of literally minutes? because it's Vine. eer baby face has an irresistible urge to beat the shit out of him for reasons they can't really explain.

I have always thought it was pretty apparent AJ quickly became a Vince favorite. I think Vince liked someone walked into his company and acted like a big star.

Triple H vs. AJ Styles.
Get hyped.
Both guys might be winding up their WWE careers, and putting on the mark glasses for a moment.
AJ Styles vs. Triple H is a dream match.
