Because the last time she was in a movie, she married Del Rio and went off the deep end, leading to some very weirdly cut trailers with her surfing penguin character removed. Ironically enough, she’s now with Ronnie Radke of all people, so I would steer clear from casting her in any movies if we get a repeat of..that. I thought she was with one of the guys from Atilla.

also Tessa Blanchard being "paige's" stunt double for the title match with AJ Trinidad/Vega that would sort of make Tessa the second woman to "win" both the WWE and TNA woman's championship in history (gail kim being the first) Gail Kim and Mickie James are the only to do it. oh yeah forgot about mickie

She was, but then they broke up and that’s when she started seeing Ronnie. Ironically enough, I found out they were actually a thing when my friend sent me a screenshot of an Instagram post he made where he responded to someone who said “woah thought she was Kalans girl” with “she was never his to begin with.”

They seem a much more stable couple than her and Alberto El Dirtbag, at least. Believe me, he has an extremelyyyyy dark past. Just as dark as Del Rio’s in fact. I don’t doubt that people can change, but we said the same about Alberto and look what happened.

Why wasn't Paige in this movie? She don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie. ...... that took me a second, but very well played sir!

Nevertheless, Paige does seem to have a weakness for troubled men, and I hope this doesn't go sour on her too.

My question is why it even needed to be made in the first place.
I just love the idea of The Rock still on a massive pre-workout high and/or jet lagged, in London at 2am catching the original documentary in his hotel room and thinking “Now this is a movie that needs to be made!” Why’s he in the movie as himself? I just don’t get the connection there whatsoever. Did he have anything to do with Paige or her career before embarking on this vanity project? It’s like that weird Jesse Ventura movie trailer thing that managed to shoehorn in the Montreal Screwjob for some reason.
I reckon Rock should make more films about stuff he wasn’t even directly involved in. Like a movie about Hulk Hogan’s journey into wrestling, featuring Dwayne Johnson giving a young Terry Bollea a pep talk about how he could be the next big WWF Superstar and encouraging him to follow his dreams and kickstarting Hulkamania. Just... what? 🤷🏻♂️

We need a Montreal Screwjob: The Movie. Isn't that what the Jesse Ventura Story is?

So was there any reason why they didnt cast Paige as...herself? I mean it's kind of hilarious if you think about it. Its not like she's 70 or something and cant perform or doesn't look like the part. Florence Pugh the actress who plays Paige starred opposite Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson in King Lear, will be in the upcoming Little Women remake and last year was the lead in the critically acclaimed Lady MacBeth. It's hard to predict which up and coming actresses will ever be stars, but she is young,talented/convetionally attractive and has worked with some legendary names and will be getting a huge push from the Hollywood machine in the next few years. The Producers of this movie were lucky to land Florence Pugh for this film when they did.

We need a Montreal Screwjob: The Movie. I wonder if the porno version from Brazzers is still a thing.

Oh and I forgot to add to my post that the main trailer they’re using to promote this thing... is The Rock cutting a Rock promo on her and her brother. Like, what in the f*** does that have to do with anything?

Yeah and she's been in some downright insultingly awful movies like Malevolent (2018) so I'm not terribly surprised to see her in this. She needs to start making better choices.

FWIW, I know people who know Ronnie. They don't run in the same circles but have toured together and they have always had good things to say about him.

Dude looks remarkably like Rob Lowe as The Beholder on SNL's skit Goth Talk.
