Who do you think Sting would have ended up working with if Rollins hadn't ended his career? It's a shame he really was only able to work with Triple H and Rollins, I know everyone points to Sting-Taker as being the ultimate what if but I think a match with Cena at WM would have been pretty interesting too.

Probably Kane since Vince thinks that would be a good substitute for Sting/Taker.

I imagine the Undertaker match happens at WM32 instead of Shane. Still inexplicable that they didn’t do it when they had the chance at 31.

Undertaker.
Can you imagine the electricity of that face off?
We were cheated by not getting that match, like we were cheated of not getting Austin-Hogan.

I don't believe undertaker had interest in match with Sting. He did. It was Vince who didn’t wanted it.

Probably a way too long program with Kane, Bray Wyatt and maybe Kevin Owens.

It's so depressing thinking about Sting's "run" (if you want to call it that) in the WWE. It was such a long-awaited thing that was just the absolute dog shit worst. The man should've wrestled the Undertaker at WrestleMania and called it a day.

Is Sting working in WWE? How you detect what works in WWE is when Triple H is suddenly inserted.

I don't believe undertaker had interest in match with Sting. He did. It was Vince who didn’t wanted it. Nah, for some reason, Taker didn't want it. I remember an interview with Sting where he mentioned that he had brought it up to Taker and he didn't seem too enthusiastic about putting a match together with Sting. I would love to know why, though. I mean, I had always assumed that it was because Taker didn't think they could have a good match and wanted to preserve his legacy, but then Crown Jewel happened, so that doesn't mean much to him.

If anything, you gotta give WWE credit. They completely redefined the term "crown jewel". As I a moment where a person's credibility or integrity was lost in embarrassing fashion.

That's the same suggestion I heard, that Taker was rather lukewarm about the whole thing. A shame.
Without the injury, I think it would've been Sting competing in the Rumble match (another one off the check list) and then a second Mania match, although I don't know who against. I can think of some that would've been fun - I agree Cena, he would've taken care of Sting, for instance - but don't know of anything solid.

Just for the record, I know many hated this, but I thought it was great that his first match was with Triple H. What sucked was that he lost. Sting beating Triple H would have been a great way to introduce him to the WWE audience (which was much younger than the audience that was around when WCW closed). From there, they should have done the year build to Taker at the following Wrestlemania, perhaps with the two teaming up at Summerslam along the way.
