Idk man, I’m still giving it time and I know it’s just a house show but ehhhh this is seeming pretty iffy to me. Combine that with Johnny seemingly not caring that tommaso helped him out due to the tweet he sent out saying “I win” and his ever growing, matching beard idk idk idk. You can’t just have Johnny go from wanting Ciampa and the NXT title to DEFENDING people from taking Ciampa’s NXT title.

I mean, the premise is cool. Having heel DIY takeover NxT by holding the two major titles. But, I wouldn’t know how I’d feel if all of this led to..that. Logically this is just Ciampa using Johnny’s anger to his advantage, but you never know. I’m cautiously optimistic as to where exactly this is all going.

That was actually pretty great. They are on the heel side, the fans start to go crazy for Meet in the Middle and the babyfaces stop it.

This protects the moment they had in the cage match, and keeps the continuity moving forward in their storyline. If they hit the move and the place goes nuts, forget them as heels. They can use this down the road as Ciampa is trying to get Johnny tomgo after Ricochet rather than him, I know some are sick of this storyline, but they pull off better storytelling than most of the roster.

I’d laugh if the GM that got fired is now in cahoots with the dude that is the moral compass, but in a weird way, it makes sense. What better way to bring change to the company then to allign yourself with someone who likely knows the inner workings of Raw better than Corbin.

I don't quite *get* Ciampa. Like, I appreciate that he's a total fiend, and yeah, I like that in a heel, but I don't get why he gets away with it. He turned on Gargano for- they ever explain the why, or was it one of those "betraying someone automatically gives me main event powers, because evillllllll" without a clear through-line?

I get why Gargano would turn heel in that, yeah, NXT's fans shit on him good and hard over losing that one match with Ciampa in a nonsensical way. Plenty of motivation there, but I don't get why he'd be any more amicable to Ciampa. Is Ciampa supposed to be some Raven-level mindgames guy? Because we've seen pretty much nothing to imply he's capable of it.

I’m guessing Gargano is trying to lull Ciampa into believing he has gone to the dark side. Maybe they’ll do a triple threat or four-way match and they’ll keep the DIY tease going, then at some point Gargano will turn on Ciampa for the big pop. I hope.
