This thread is like when people wanted HBK to change his theme song when he came back for his 2002-2010 run.
If that thread was about wanting to have a discussion about what I think is a valid point.I agree.I am surprised ,in a good way, people see it as a tasteful tribute,it means WWE is treating it with respect.
I mean, I don’t personally see anything wrong with paying tribute to her idol and father figure of the rasslin business.
I dont hate tributes either but as a post said before, what makes she Rowdy? Why does she need to have the theme? It becomes a little too much for me. i do love how her outfit is a tribute, would even enjoy some Piper tribute move.(but maybe it takes too much away from the MMA background they want to push). Just dont see why everything about her presentation needs to have a Piper Brand.
Not even saying it is bad taste, but would be better to develop her own image.

All I know is that WWE2K19 commercial where she's getting ready for a match, with audio of Roddy Piper giving Ronda a pep talk echoing over it, that commercial gave me chills watching it the first time.
I think the Piper connection is really cool. I like that Ronda isn't out there doing Roddy impressions or anything. Stylistically she's still her own person. It feels less like she's raising her name off of Roddy's reputation, and more that she's just a great wrestler who's keeping one of her heroes' legacies alive.
She IS Ronda Rousey. People already know who she is. The Piper thing works for now and hopefully, she'll find her own way. She can save it for major PPVs.
