My buddy and I took my nephew to Raw almost five years ago. We were treated to Zack Ryder vs. Adam Rose. And you know what? The match was very good, and the crowd was into it. I don't know if it was for Main Event or SuperStars or what, but my buddy and I were like, "Those two guys just had a very entertaining match, and they're treated like jokes."
Just goes to show you that they could have an Attitude Era like show where every person seems important and has something to do, but they just refuse to hire the right people, and stick with pushing the same people.
Wouldn't you think that they would want every wrestler to be as over as possible so they can crank out and sell more merchandise? I mean, you had people in Rock, Austin, and Triple H shirts. Then you had a good amount in Too Cool, Godfather, and occasionally Al Snow stuff.
It really isn't that hard. Why they insist on putting out the same shit is beyond me.

...wait, where has Mojo been? I haven't been tuning in, but I haven't seem him mentioned anywhere in months. On a near-double digit losing streak on Main Event. Dude’s actually dropped clean losses to Ryder, as well as Tyler Breeze, which... if you’re losing falls to a guy from a long-term tag team when his partner’s out hurt, that says a lot.

Cody Rhodes just gave his opinion. 24 years ago "The I Didn't Do It Boy" was standing on stage with Krusty The Clown and instead of cheering for Krusty the audience was going hysterical for IDDIB. He didn't diversify his skillset and his career in showbiz faded

WrestlingData.com has his record this year at 46-19; a lot of the losses are in tag matches but plenty of singles wins. So it's not like he's just sitting at home (or standing around at a 4-hour taping/live Raw) doing nothing but collecting a check. A lot of times he's the first "popular name" wrestler that people see coming to the ring after waiting for the show to start. And people cheer him because: 1) yay we're finally gonna see some wrestling, and, 2) he's a likeable guy, so, 3) he gets that first big pop. A lot of people would love that spot.
He's just blowing off steam. He'll be just fine.

I think what people forget is Zack could go to the Indie scene and be wrestling for a pretty big company the day his 90 days were up. Not just that Impact would snap him up, but I feel like he'd do well in Japan, and Cody said ages ago he'd snap him up if he could. On good terms and not being particularly used, he could get his release pretty easy.
He's in WWE because he wants to be. Maybe he likes working with his friends. Maybe the goal is to make it big in the 'E still. But the only person keeping him in Vince's fed is himself.
