Would Josh Matthews count? I mean, he began as a wrestler, so even if it wasn't for long, it'd totally count.

The Faroh of Phunk.. Yea I know he is unknown outside MS. But he searches his name all the time. Like when a buddy, who at the time was 16,made a tweet about seeing Faroh at a show and gave the match 2 stars. 2 days later Faroh posted a vid calling this guy out,and getting his name wrong. "Seems we got us another Battlezone hater.a Kody RUTLAND! So Kody KODY Rutland I challenge you to come say it to my face next week at the Bsttlezone Arena in Magee! You are drinking that Wes Adams Kool Aid. And have no idea what good rasslin is!"
Funny part is the guy's name is Koby. And now years later him and some others have started a fed. Plus a video company. And Faroh keeps asking Koby and I to talk to various promoters to get him bookings.

I would say the wrestlers who vanity search their name and then block people have to be up there. I'm looking at you, JBL. How many of us are blocked by JBL, anyway? I know I got blocked during the #FireJBL fiasco, never even @'d him either. Man's gotta be insecure as all getout. Some of the vanity searchers are cool, though. I've gotten likes and retweets that way, plus there was the time Snitsky tried to sell me a baby doll. Doesn't happen nearly as much now, but for a good long while certain people who were associated with TNA were notorious for tweeting dumb crap then going on a rampage when called out over it or reacting very poorly to something the dirtsheets were circulating. I bet WWE keeps an eye on Eric Young to make sure he doesn't tell people to go f*** themselves again. I think the story was the wrestlers had to hand over the login info for their social media accounts to use for promotional and verification purposes. The the insane defending of TNA came from someone in TNA management (Mathews or Ryder I think). Not sure how true, if at all, it is. I'm not sure how true them having to turn over their logins is, as this is the first I've heard of it. I do know they were routinely forced to tweet stuff, mainly promotional crap and "everything is fine" junk. I've seen instances where multiple people have tweeted the exact same thing, not even bothering to alter it slightly. I'm giving Mathews a pass for a good portion of it, as it was happening long before he showed up. I'm thinking stuff like Jeremy Borash and the infamous EC3-as-Caitlyn Jenner Photoshop more than defending TNA, though we did get some quality stuff from the kool aid drinkers on that front. That's more drinking the kool aid than anything because damn near everyone in TNA defended them to death EY was a big one and TJP was a major ass kisser
It still amuses me how TJP kissed so much ass only to do a complete 180 later on with the crap they put him through and firing him with a one-sentence email.

I'm baffled as to why wrestlers defending the company they work for is particularly noteworthy, to be honest, what do you really expect? 'Oh yeah, this place I'm using for exposure is a bag of crap, everybody hates it and the owner is a colossal assbutt... But watch me on TV, please.'
Now, actual thin skinned wrestlers. I remember how Warrior responded to criticism, watching the rambling webcam videos he did on Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan and other enemies of the day,

Bray Wyatt Didn't find a tweet insulting him and post a pissy response. He wasn't even tagged in the tweet. Geekdom (whose a fairly prominent DBZ youtuber) was defending someone on twitter because they were obese and got a hot chick and someone said it was just cause of money. Geekdom said that IRS not always about money or fame and used Bray Wyatt dating JoJo as an example as how it's not all about looks for girls and Bray flipped shit.

One time at a JAPW show 2 Hot Steve Scott "The Selfie Superstar" was coming to the ring and a guy called him a Tyler Breeze rip off and he stopped dead in tracks to explain to the fan how he actually had the gimmick first and Tyler Breeze was ripping him off.

Back in the day Matt Hardy was the worst, but having a family changed him for good.
Nick Jackson is very very thin skinned, Matt Jackson handles it better.

WhatCulture posted an article I guess on Bullet Club being dead. Tama Tonga is going apeshit on instagram about how "WhatCulture is dead not BC" (yeah we know WhatCulture sucks now). I don't think I've ever seen a wrestler bitch as much over social media as Tama, a guy who I quite enjoy. And for what it's worth, I believe Bullet Club might now end up as a footnote for the wiki article on The Elite in 10 years time. Even as it is, I like WhatCulture a hell of a lot more than Cultaholic. THAT was a company that was dead in the water the second Adam Blampie dipped out. But Tonga’s opinion of himself is way out of proportion to his talent and fame, and if NJPW wants to keep this up they better get some star power into BC fast. Well, I don't even bother subscribing to any of the Whatculture channels nowadays, always happy to see a Cultaholic video though.

I'd actually want to see a video of this. Because for all I know, that guy may have been me. I know someone who mentioned the idea of the selfies to Steve, then boom, there he is with a new gimmick. Not only that, but said someone might have also mentioned stealing Fandango's music...years before the Fashion Police! Needless to say, there are LOTS of thin skinned guys in this area. Val Venis, if you disagree with his many, um, extreme views, can get like this. I saw Jay Lethal call someone a bold faced liar over... something... People like Vito (and his wife), Tracey Smothers, Billy Jack Haynes and others who were suing for concussions were like this if you disagree with them.

I don't see a problem with a wrestler wanting to stick up for themselves, or defend the promotion they are proud to be working for. It shows they care about what they're doing. To not defend their own work would be a sign they're just along for the ride.

'Oh yeah, this place I'm using for exposure is a bag of crap, everybody hates it and the owner is a colossal assbutt... But watch me on TV, please.' Defending the company they work for is all well and good, but when someone is going drastically overboard with the defending, then it becomes noteworthy. I'm talking stuff like telling people unsolicited that they can go f*** themselves if they didn't like a PPV, using the company Twitter to insult fans (never good to do), and the "buckets of cash" debacle. There was also the bad habit of "trying to prove the dirtsheets wrong", which just never ends well. I don't see this much from Impact anymore, most of those certain individuals are either long gone or more than likely have been reined in somewhat by the management change.

What I disagree with is the idea that having a Twitter account is a license to talk shit on guys without opposition. Mojo Rawley can dunk on fans who call him out, and honestly I think it's great.

It is a bit ironic fans call out wrestlers for being thin skinned when fans are just as much

I don't know if this is exactly thin-skinned by the normal meaning, but Brimstone (he of the gigantic Wikipedia article and CUSTOM BOOTS) used to send letters threatening legal action out to people who ran efeds if the efed happened to have a character named Brimstone on the roster. I got one from his lawyer around 2006-07ish, and saved it for kicks.

Not a wrestler but Mark Madden is one of the Vanity Search Crew. I remember seeing him start a stupid argument with Nicole Matthews on Twitter because she said his WCW commentary sucked, and she never even tagged him in the tweet. Madden tried using the "I have money!" excuse to defend himself, and basically told her that WWE would never give her a call (this was before she entered this year's Mae Young Classic).
