Hello I legitimately can’t wait to hear Corey over this lol Graves does his best "End of the '92 Rumble" Bobby Heenan impression.

The spin of this whole Mandy/Uso deal is that it's really Naomi having an affair with Sonya.

"No more automatic rematches!"
*Just gives the title shot to the same guy again anyway.*

It’s better than “GRR HE BEAT ME BUT I AINT GIVING UP.” It gives the spotlight to to a rookie and three seasoned veterans in the ring, and gives AJ a much needed edge that’ll elevate their next match. It isn’t the most exciting choice, but at least they went about it differently. The question has to be asked, how hard do we want them to enforce this? Canning the ironclad guaranteed rematch after losing a title (not Big Show ironclad, proper ironclad) is one thing, but locking out previous champions from earning a shot in top contender matches is a different thing. How long should Styles be ineligible? A set timeframe? Until Bryan loses the belt? That could be months. He’a not locked out. It’s fake. You just don’t book him to win the damn match.

I don’t really get how this is a bad idea. Again, the winner is predictable, but it gives Ali, Orton, Rey, and Joe exposure and a damn good match to boot. I get the feeling that this whole “new start” thing is going to continue to get thrown right back in their face for agessss lmao some of it deserved, some of it just sort of reaching imo

Bit unfair to jump right to “It’s fake”, because you can use that to undermine any argument if you really want to.

AJ / Bryan has been going on since October and AJ just lost clean. Just move on from it. It's just a stupid waste of time to do the same thing AGAIN when you could easily throw Mysterio or Ali in there for something different. It's the Rumble anyway, no one's buying the show for the WWE title match.

End all answer to AJ winning after the whole no rematch clause started is just that....he won a match to declare himself as #1 Contender. It’s not like they just gave it to him, he earned it by beating 4 other guys in the same match.

If you’re able to build up other people in the process for future title matches then go for it. That match alone can build a few good feuds for the Rumble and beyond and set up stuff for the future. It was better than how it was the last almost decade of “LET’S ANNOUNCE A REMATCH AND DO NOTHING ELSE WITH IT!”

I agree, it's not like it was announced at the top of the show, he won the right to face Bryan in this one. I figure this will be the last one between them before Bryan moves onto another contender (maybe Ali in February). Both shows sound decent from reading the spoilers here, I might catch some of Raw and SD next week.

Who saw Becky Lynch getting Cena's torch passed to her? That's awesome.

Kinda weird, given how many of their current and recent roster members have had intimate personal pics hacked and posted, that they'd go with using them in-story. Admittedly a PG version of said intimate personal pics, but still.

From a different set of spoilers.
The New Day come out. They declare themselves as Royal Rumble entrants. They take shots at Brock Lesnar by saying that they will challenge for the WWE Championship because “the Universal Champion won’t show up.” They also reveal that the doctor ordered no more pancakes for New Day, so they are done throwing pancakes out to the crowd. The crowd is upset and chants, “We want pancakes!” ------------
Alot stuck out in the spoilers, but this got my attention. Could New Day be getting serious?

I love AJ, but giving the same guy 500 rematches in a row is why the WWE is in this mess. You literally JUST told the fans you would be more creative It’s better than “GRR HE BEAT ME BUT I AINT GIVING UP.” It gives the spotlight to to a rookie and three seasoned veterans in the ring, and gives AJ a much needed edge that’ll elevate their next match. It isn’t the most exciting choice, but at least they went about it differently. I am not adverse to a rematch, but tweaking AJ's character a bit just to have him likey lose to D-Bry again is a waste of time.

I’ll take the person having to earn their way to a title match while also elevating future/other stars on the roster than just “GRR I WANT REMATCH..I GOT REMATCH!” Again, it isn’t the most amazing choice, but the one that makes sense in terms of story. I just don’t see how this is a bad thing.

I would be THRILLED if they had Kofi win the Rumble and face Bryan. I highly doubt they ever would but they absolutely should. Honestly that'd probably motivate me to bother watching Mania - at the moment really not planning on it - and I don't even like heel Bryan.

The pancake stuff was drawing thin and they could only do so much of it before getting stail (it did.)
