Ring of Honor “Raising the Bar Night 2”
March 8th, 2014
From the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago Ridge, Illinois
Commentators: Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino
“Teacher verses Student”
Tyson Dux vs. Michael Elgin
This was good but knowing both guys it could have been way better.
Winner: Michael Elgin
Elgin grabs a mic and thanks Tyson Dux for training him.
Adrenaline Rush vs. the Decade w/Jimmy Jacobs and Adam Page
This was a decent match but TaDarius Thomas looked lost in parts.
Winners: the Decade
Michael Bennett w/Maria Kanellis vs. Jay Lethal
This was okay but the crowd was really into it for some reason.
Winner: Michael Bennett
Outlaw Inc. vs. the Briscoes
This match went south pretty quickly.
Winner: no contest
This brings Nigel McGuinness out, who restarts the match under no disqualifications rules at the Briscoes request.
No Disqualifications
Outlaw Inc. vs. the Briscoes
I think I counted nine concussions in this match. It was a really fun brawl.
Winners: the Briscoes
Steve Corino exits commentary and Nigel McGuinness takes his spot.
Matt Taven vs. Silas Young
This must have been the shortest, most heartless grudge match in the history of grudge matches.
Winner: Silas Young
Cedric Alexander vs. Kevin Steen
This happened. I couldn’t get into it.
Winner: Kevin Steen
For whatever reason Outlaw Inc. come out and have words with Steen.
For the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships
The Young Bucks vs. reDRagon (champions)
This was good despite my lack of interest in either team involved.
Winners: the Young Bucks (new Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions)
2 out of 3 Falls Ringmasters Challenger (Pinfall, Submission and 15 minute Ironman Match) for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Hero vs. Adam Cole (champion)
This was okay but too long for me to be entertained by either. Cole won the first fall, Hero the second and Cole won the Ironman portion 4-3 in overtime. The ending of the Ironman portion had Adam Cole running away, which I know fit his character but what a puss.
Winner: Adam Cole

This was a mauling squash.
Winner: Jake Dirden

This show was just kinda there. The Briscoes verses Outlaw Inc. match was really fun. But that’s the only reason to seek this show out.
I probably should've watched Night 1 first but this is what got pulled out of the box tonight. I don't think there was anything that was a continuation from the previous night other than Adam Page joining the Decade at Night 1.
