I mostly want to focus on the 1980s but if it’s from like 1993 or something...eh close enough. Let’s try to avoid the late 1990s though as the vibes from that era seem so much different.
Anyway, I loved the original Rhino releases of the Transformers G1 series. They didn’t have commentary or anything on the episodes but just having all those episodes in crystal clear quality was amazing. GI Joe was awesome too though it still pisses me off they never released the last 15 episodes or so of the Sunbow series. Or if they finally did it was years after I stopped caring.

Shout Factory released all of the GI Joe series, not just Sunbow but also the movie, the DIC series, and Renegades (OTOH, You're out of luck when it comes to Extreme and Sigma 6).

Savage unless they put that one off as a bonus somewhere. Good thing I got the original VHS and figure combo back in the 1990s when it first came out. It’s suprisingly decent.

He-Man had some good extras and interviews...only plagued by PAL copy episodes due to Hallmark's bumbling.

How would you compare them with the Shout! versions? The Rhino ones apparently used preliminary versions of certain episodes, plus added their own SFX to episodes.

I actually never checked out the Shout releases. The Rhino releases though as far as I know kept all the original animation, warts and all. Not a lot of bonus features outside of the first G1 release having a feature or near feature length documentary, but awesome nonetheless. I felt they were totally worth the $50+ they originally retailed for though I don’t know what they’re selling for now.
