Got to randomly thinking earlier about how it's kind of odd that for a show that was cancelled midway through its second season, The Outer Limits is still quite well remembered 50 years later and that it managed to spawn a far longer-running reboot. Which you can also pretty much say the same for (besides it managing to get a third that largely isn't worth bothering with) for the original Star Trek.
Just got me wondering what other shows out there you can really say that about. If nothing else there's no shortage of anime, given the vast majority of them really only run for one season but a lot still manage to be fondly remembered or heavily influential years later, but that's just a different market so it's kind of hard to say that it counts so much.
Also Firefly came to mind but I'm not sure it actually counts? It did garner more popularity than its ratings would really reflect but Serenity flopped and while there are still products being produced in connection to it it's pretty far removed from many people talking or caring about it. It's kind of more a dud that's just managed to retain something of a loyal fanbase than keeping any sort of popular consciousness.

Fawlty Towers is widely considered one of the best British sitcoms of all time, despite only 12 episodes being made.

The Hooneymooners as a stand alone show (as separated from segments during the Jackie Gleason Show) only lasted a season.

The Jetsons. Despite being often mentioned with the Flintstones (which had 6 whole seasons), the Jetsons in the 1960s only had one season of 24 episodes made, then they were re-runed in daytime hours & syndication for 20 whole years. Then during the 1980s they made 51 brand new episodes to mix into the syndication rotation.

I’ve known a lot of girls that were crazy about My So Called Life which only ran for 19 episodes over one season. I’d say that deserves a mention.

Peter Pan & the Pirates was only around for a year but 60+ episodes isn't too bad.

SportsNight. I loved that behind-the-scenes ESPN type show.

People on this forum, at least, still reference Clerks: The Animated Series, which only had 6 episodes (and only 2 of them aired, the rest weren't viewed until the DVD).

And aired fourth episode first, then the second. The second is literally largely composed of clips from the first episode as a gag about clip shows, but the joke is even more absurd when it's calling back to something that didn't even air yet.

Gilligan's Island is probably a low-key mention on this list. Only three seasons, hated by it's network, but an iconic part of the landscape of tv history.

It did give us one of the most fascinating DVD commentaries ever, on the bright side, including stories like the ABC lawyer admitting they weren't sure why the network picked up the show, them musing about if they had gone with UPN instead, how things would have played out, etc.
